This is not about placating one person. This is about dealing with the messed up society we have created where girls are supposed to inherently like dolls and boys are supposed to like trucks. We created this. Just 60 years ago, pink was a "boy" color and blue was a "girl" color. Advertisers changed that. And for the longest time we dressed all of our children in shifts, i.e., dresses. Children wore gender neutral clothing. Advertisers then jumped on the idea that if we convince people that boys need one thing and girls need another, then advertisers could make more money. Do not fall into the mistaken belief that people and laws and advertisements cannot change your beliefs because they already have. And we can work as a society to change them back so that children growing up do not have to be pigeon-holed into accepting a role forced on them by society before they can even talk.

No matter what you do or try to force on people, they are going to keep their beliefs & feelings. Nothing any one can do or say or make a law, is going to make me change into someone I am not. I will keep my opinions & will not change them for anyone. It is just plain stupid to bow down to every little whine every person has. You can't satisfy everyone all the time. There is always going to be one person who doesn't like the way things are no matter what laws you enact. These people need to get a life & quit nitpicking everything apart.

that is one of the dumbest things people are getting out of hand with all this stupid stuff give it a break stop trying to change the way of life all to make a few asses happy .if push comes to shove give the complainers a carrot mabey they will shut up if not try a radish

I really feel like this whole gender issue is being blow out of the water. If you choose to change your sex then fine so be it, but do not expect everything to change to suit you. Personally it is amazing to walk in a store and have BOY/GIRL toys, clothes, school items in separate sections. I do not want to walk all over a store just to find a shirt or toy for my child. WHERE ARE THE LIMITS?? WHEN WILL PEOPLE SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH?

This is getting stupid now! All a person has to do is get the toy the child wants , if the girl wants a truck get her one if the boy wants a doll get him one.Young kids are so flexible they change every day.People need to worry about what really matters in this country.The toy guns are what needs to changed with manufactures and retail stores and sales.They look to real even with the colored tips.

Now that Target is combining all dolls in the same section, social conservatives will no longer be able to distinguish a G.I. Joe from a Barbie.
