I get it, that it`s part of that "old town tradition". Let the horns sound!! can`t hear them from my dooryard.
It`s not whether parents have control over their children or not.

For heavens sakes don't parents have any control over their children anymore! they should be home when parents say !! who are the parents the kids???? take control parents !!when my parents told me when to be home I was there if not I stayed home for a while! NEED A CURFEW HORN really! how stupid!!!! letting the town control your kids instead of u parents!!! unreal !!!!!!

I agree with Angela, but parents evidently don't care. I've seen 12 to 15yr old children playing on the streets at all hours of the night.

Shouldn't it be up to the parents to get their kids off the streets.What happened to enforcing rules and curfews at home instead of just threatening. Shouldn't be up to the town.

Dexter, Me I wish they would blow the horn at the fire station every night to announce it's time for kids to get of of the street, instead of once a month for firehouse meeting.

Sorry Sean, I think its a great question and more towns should do it that way so the young people know its time to get off the streets and go home, maybe we would have less crime.
The idea that a horn needs to be blown to tell young people to go home is ludicrous. If you need to have a curfew then its up to the police to enforce it. Instead of an annoying horn, why not have church bells announce it. Anyone who lives in the vicinity of that horn knows how annoying it is.
