oops meant issue a marriage license to a same sex couple.

I voted to terminate JUST as I vote to terminate the Christian woman who refused to marry a same sex couple. When a job entails known elements, then there's no excuse for refusing to perform that job.
If they were against Muslims they wouldn't have hired her in the first place.

You can't force your religion into government and jobs that involve things you don't approve of but applied for anyway.

Converted to Islam a month later. After being hired. Utter BS!

Expressjet on the crj side does have 200 jets so she would be flying alone. She knew at the interview what the job entails, they stress alcohol is served. She has served alcohol before. She is in it for money. Either she does her job completely or she should be terminated. Why should another f/a be asked to cover for a part of the job she doesn't want to do.

I didn't even think about the CPR thing! That's a good point- what would she do in that situation? Also, I'm pretty sure converting/joining a religion doesn't happen overnight. She had to have been considering it when she was interviewed. I don't think it's fair to ask another person to do your job because you have personal issues with it- if you can't do the job you were hired for, then quit and find a different job. Or maybe she could transfer to a different department within the company? I'm also sure there's probably more to this story than what's being reported in the media...

' when Charee Stanley applied to become a flight attendant with ExpressJet she wasn’t practicing Islam. In fact, she converted to Islam about a month after accepting the job with ExpressJet'
So she got her job under false pretenses - if she had beens a practicing Muslim when she was hired she could have made it known she could not serve alcohol - she should be terminated

On the ASA side...there are CRJ200 in ATL & DFW bases....no 200 in DTW, so yes if she is not in DTW she could work solo. Serving alcohol is part of her job description. Another flight attendant should not be forced to do her job nor should pax be denied an available service.

Maybe flying just isn't for her........

This is extremely sad that she pull her religion out to cover her dumbness ! Is she is a strict Muslim ( I ' m making the point becouse of her reaction ) she should not touch a male either so if when there's an emergency and she have to do CPR what is she going to say

When you're hired at XJet they make it VERY CLEAR you're to serve alcohol....

No choice it is in job description. She is only trying to gain from money & attention. If it's a choice then choose another job !!!!!! This is bull sh** ENOUGH fire her or let her quit.. Simple as that...

Express Jet FA's work for two sides of the company FYI! Miss Charee Stanley only works on the ASA side, meaning she will only ever fly on a CRJ. She would never fly SOLO. The ERJ side is the old and original Continental Express (they were owned by Continental back in the day. Regardless, Miss Stanley deserves to be suspended. She is using this to gain hype and attention and probably money so she will not have to earn an honest wage for awhile.
