Herman, you are so right. The bible is the living word. I can read the same chapter a hundred times and get something new from it Everytime depending on what the Holy Spirit wants to reveal at the time. It is great the way most of Jesus's parables are either about agriculture or family. As I am a semi serious small farmer I see the hand of creation in every growing thing and as a parent i see the love of God in every family situation.

Spot on Sean. The problem is that the family unit has pretty much gone by the wayside. Both parents have to work outside the house in order to live the lifestyle that they think they have to have.
I know i'll get a lot of flack by saying that if you read and study the Bible it will explain it all. There is a reason that it is the # 1 selling book of all time. IT will answer any questions you ever have about life and how to raise a family. I only wish I had started to study it a lot sooner for my family.

Parents need to parent. Kids do stupid stuff. Try spending a lot of time communicating with your teens, get to know what makes them tick and mentor them. I have two grown children with two completely different personalities. My son was a handful. He took constant discipline to get him to adulthood without serious issues. My daughter is completely opposite but needs just as much attention in emotional support. Almost all of today's society issues can be fixed with strong family.
