Will House Speaker John Boehner's resignation leave the Republican Party better off?

John Boehner was a holdover from a period when politicians were more civil and less divisive. He leads a band of miscreants who became more and more obnoxious as time progressed. Faced with the prospects of another Government Shutdown and Treasury Default, Boehner exited the House.

John Boehner was the face of common sense in a legislature lacking any trace of it. He was one of the few adults in the Republican caucus, as such, he will be rightfully missed.

The Right in the GOP is correct in moving the party more towards conservative principles. However, every time they take out a GOP leader, or member in a coup, or engage in character attacks because others are not "far enough to the Right", they simply make the Left more powerful. Pelosi and Hairy Reed are loving this!

I voted too soon to tell - we have five weeks before he actually resigns. My concern is the GOP having an internecine fight going into an election year.

Never mind the GOP. America will be better off with this (CENSORED) out of Congress.
