I'm retired, collecting Social Security and spending my savings every month. I was in Panama a few weeks ago, contemplating a move. I'm sold, just have to decide on area and come to terms with getting rid of my "stuff!" Returning next summer for a longer stay and taking Spanish in the mean time.
We will be able to retire comfortably because we will be moving to Panama next year. If we stayed in the U.S., then it would be a different story.
