The ability to report individuals with mental problems, is very restricted due to our so called privacy freedom laws, if the people that should, were to be allowed to report to the background check data base a whole lot of these shootings would be stopped. The problems all revolve around ability to identify those individuals who should not pass background checks.

"Gun free zones" need to be banned unless the entity banning guns there protects everyone present. Haven't enough people died to prove those signs do have the desired effect?

Only if they repeal many of the laws on the books now. The 1935 act is a bad law and was only upheld because the two defendants didnt show up in court to argue against it so it stayed by default.
