Do you think the benefits system is fair?

What's unfair is going on the benefit calculator to see how much better off I am working after missing yet another milestone of my youngest's life in the hope it would remind me of why I work. I waited with bated breath and the results came in. -£243 a month. Yes you do see that little minus sign. After childcare I am actually nearly £3000 a year worse off as a single working mother of three. I work myself silly, miss milestones, do a degree at the same time in the evenings and am rewarded by being worse off than if I decided to sit on my backside relaxing.

No, it's not fair. At all.
