Sure, destroy them . That's what federal and local government is best at. Throwing away money. I can't believe they even considered that...

Many of those guns were stolen in burglery's from homes or camps. On the news, that was mentioned as an option to give the guns back to the original owners. Not mentioned in this pole though. The media wants them to disapear. No option to vote, except OTHER. No one votes for OTHER.

I agree with whats been written so far .I cannot think of another crime in this country where the anger is put on the instrument used in the crime,If somebody harmed one of my family members with a gun I would want to rip his or hers heart out not destroy the gun, guns do not have feelings ( for all you liberials out there) It is not about crime anyway it is about disarming the people.

I think they should sell them to a gun dealer at wholesale prices, take the money for police equipment, programs, ect. Destroying them won't make a proverbial drop in the bucket worth of differance. Keep in mind folks, a gun is only a tool, people decide how to use them. You won't stop criminals from having a gun, but you shouldn't keep guns from law abiding folks.

There is so much antigun focus right now. Guns are objects. People with no heart kill. All of the recent high profile shootings the guns were bought following all laws. The people who did it gave plenty of indicators to friends and family. Get involved and take it seriously when you know someone who starts talking about hurting themselves or others and you would do a better chance to help than any new law.
