Making criminals out of citizens that prefer to use a less harmful substance than alcohol or prescription drugs is a waste of valuable resources that could be better used in solving real crimes like rape, murder or robbery. Virginia and the United States need to end cannabis prohibition very quickly. The war on drugs is a failure, it is costly financially, it ruins peoples lives and future employment opportunities. Think of the new job opportunities that could be created.

even if you don't use pot, I think the best thing about legalizing it, is it takes it out of the hands of the thugs who deal destructive drugs, like heroin, cocaine, meth, etc. ergo not a gateway drug and it's not a drug, it's an herb.

Here's a challenge for you Governor why not put it on the ballots and let WE THE PEOPLE vote like a true democratic republic is supposed to do! Sic Semper Tyranus is our motto! So let's live up to it and give THE PEOPLE their voice!!! An adult 21 and over should be allowed to decide what medicine or relaxing drug they want! Its better than alcohol and helps curb heroin addiction. It was legal before 1937 and everything was ok after 1937 things got worse!!! So your telling me you can smoke and eat marijuana in the Nation's Capital where National laws are made but not in your home state!!! All I'm saying is if we are so free than why can we not put it to a VOTE!!! If the people say no fine if the people say yes fine but it should be up to WE THE PEOPLE not some Tyrants that sit in a office and collect a check from the people the rule!!!!! It's time to say enough is enough if you will not bend to the WILL OF THE PEOPLE than WE THE PEOPLE need to boot them out of office and put people in there who will listen!!!! This is not one man's rant I speak for all Virginians should we the people at least have a right to vote yes or no?
