I feel it is easier to buy or trade for a bat, and more successful as well, than it is for pitching. So I have to give it to the Mets.
With that said, I feel the Cubs and the Mets make the perfect trading partner as their weakness is eachothers strength.

The Cubs beat the Mets seven games to four this year, and the Mets couldn't have won at all without adding hitting.

Cj Edwards is the only good young pitcher for the cubs still coming. Is he realm any better than the Mets' Rafael Montero? And the Mets have a next wave of hitters with Plawecki, Dom Smith, and Nimmo.

Cubs if the NL goes to the DH, Mets if the Cubs need to keep playing Schwarber in the field.
