Which Future World was your favorite?

Looks like lot of people like the world war.

Well, I must admit it wasn't a topic MLP FiM used to explore. Yet, I'm not a fan of world wars. Too depressing.

I would say Discord's is my favorite since it isn't as harmful like the others, it's just the atmosphere around you is weird and your personality is a bit weird with wild stuff around. Surprised his present isn't a high one.

    @Darius
Favorite future =/= Want to live there

  • Darius - 8 years ago

Wow, so people would prefer to live in a world with literally nothing to it than any of the others? Half of the others have ponies living relatively easy lives, and the others may be fearful lives but at least there's something other than emptiness going on. Fallout Equestria is not the wasteland you saw, there were at least ponies living in Fo:E. In ??? nothing is living, there is nothing there but harsh weather and the rock beneath your feet/hooves. Just...wow. Well done fandom.

@Smithers That one seemed more interesting of all because none of the others made much sense to me. In all of them we kinda knew what went wrong and I wasn't convinced, but in this one, it's an unknown.

Sombra world gets my vote by default, being the world which was described in most detail.

Although I must admit I wonder how they managed to get around the Nightmare Moon prophecy in worlds where some villain other than Moonbutt reigned supreme.

As always I remain faithful to my queen, Nightmare Moonbutt.

    Liked it all.
    Rainbow cyborg,
    The Pie grunts
Queen Crissy (needed a Fluffle Puff)
Spikes Alt crush crushing him "I don't consort with dragons" poor Spikey
    Apple war productions
    Flim & Flam
    Tirec? meh
    Sombra? cool.
nice episode now the worst thing ------------> the hiatus

I get chills thinking about Celestia in the moon and the thousand plus years until she comes back for round 2. Unless Luna was the only one capable of coming back at all.

  • Smithers - 8 years ago

@MrAskAPirate: No-one takes the Alicorn Amulet away from Trixie => she destroys all of Equestria? Yeah, I could believe that. If Flim and Flam are capable of the destruction we saw, I'm sure that anything they can do, she can do better.

@Metemponychosis: So, you thought the wasteland sucked the least? Or did you just think "they all suck, I'll just pick one at random?"

@ScourgeHH: Trixie did make an appearance, she was briefly in the background during the changeling present. https://twitter.com/TheBiggestJim/status/670693672057335808
Someone has actually replied with the image, although the preview crops Trixie out of the image. (Click the image to actually see her.)
The closest thing to the explanation you're looking for also comes from the changeling present; quoth Zecora, "time is a river where even the tiniest changes seen, can lead to a cascade of effects downstream."

Because War Maud is a terrifying concept - she can make her own ortillery - that's orbital artillery, which is kinetic kill nuke rocks. Very scary.
??? Wasteland is what I imagine it would look like if somepony got to the point where all their problems needed to be scorched away by bringing the sun in really close.

  • ScourgeHH - 8 years ago

I thought all the timelines were good. This episode would have been my favorite episode if Trixie had made an appearance, and if they had given even a loose explanation of how convince RD not to race vs tripping her is the difference between discord or tirek. Other than that I thought the episode was great, it showed that under different circumstances different villains would win or lose without the main 6. Does anyone agree that the episode would be even better with Trixie and a loose explanation?

To those who believes Nightmare Moon's alternative timelines is the best one to be in: Eventually the ponies would die, the world needs the day. But I believe they wouldn't starve, Equestria needs Earth ponies to avoid starvation, not the sun which they'd go into an ice age without.

  • Logan Reilly - 8 years ago

The Sombra future was the closest thing we're going to get to his return on television.
If you want to get closer, you may have the read the comics.

  • Metemponychosis - 8 years ago

I voted ???... Because all of them sucked.

  • Smithers - 8 years ago

Luna isn't winning a poll? What crazy alternate present have I found myself in?

When I first saw this poll I thought I was going to go for Sombra or Chrysalis. Then the answers reminded me that eternal night comes with BATPONIES EVERYWHERE and there is no way I'm voting against that. Actually, that's also probably the best one to live in; the ponies are surviving well enough, not living in fear, etc. Sucks to be Celestia of course, but I never liked her anyway.

  • RayvedSpark - 8 years ago

The wastland part is the best part if you ask me, because believe me or not THAT was Fallout Equestria so yea its cannon now believe it and deal whit it.

  • MrAskAPirate - 8 years ago

Five bucks says the total wasteland future was Trixie's fault, >.>

  • Danielle - 8 years ago

Well none of them are strictly 'the best' because they are all horrible places to be in, as well as the fact it wasn't the future but an alternate present. If i had to choose the one i'd prefer to be a part of, assuming i can get by, it'd be the Changeling Takeover world - as food doesn't seem to be an issue like in Sombra's War-filled Equestria.

  • Dalzaar - 8 years ago

I voted the Sombra one because in it the villain had not yet won the big fight and it was the most fleshed out one....also it had Celestia taking action and what looked like cybernetic augmentations, like Rainbows wing and it looked like the Pie sisters may have had some kind of primitive powered exoskeletons on their uniforms....or I'm just seeing things.

The changeling one did have Zecora in center stage and I do like that(more Zecora in S6 please).

Nightmare Moon one seemed pretty peaceful but there is no idea on how tyranical her rule actualy is.Also to me it did seem like she was killing those timberwolves, not just shattering but killing em...why else would they run away in fear?

  • Frith - 8 years ago

Equestria under Nightmare Moon seemed better off than than any of the other scenarios. Despite the lack of daylight, ponies seemed healthy, the climate warm and the plants thriving.

  • Fiona Rose - 8 years ago

I voted Lord Tirek since he is the most EPIC villain!!! X3 Gosh I love that dude. Discord's world was AWESOME as well though not as destructive as Tirek's.

  • Badly Drawn Turtle - 8 years ago

    Also Cyborg Rainbow Dash.

  • Badly Drawn Turtle - 8 years ago

I vote the Sombra timeline. Not because I like war, but because it was the one that was fleshed out the most.

  • tani18 - 8 years ago

"Which Future World was The Best?!"

It wasn't the future, it was the present of what could have been now if the Sonic Rainboom didn't take place.

I voted for the changelings. Surprised the war won, it's something that really didn't fit in at all and was negatively out of place.

  • Vandroiy - 8 years ago

I couldn't help but wonder if the wasteland was a Chrono Trigger reference.

Yes, it's generic, but come on: the colors, the wind, the lighting, it SO looked like the world map after the Day of Lavos, and they got there via a time portal...!

  • jonatan - 8 years ago

well she is a best pony

  • Avia - 8 years ago

??? Wasteland was the ultimate Bad Ending. Desolated, lifeless planet with nothing but ghosts to cry over it's terryfying past.
