Your poll leaves out us folks with exactly five lenses. Sorry - math major.

I use my basic lens (28-300mm) 90% of the time. I have a telephoto (zoom to 600) mostly for wildlife photography, and I recently received a 105mm macro lens as a gift.
I have bought lenses one at a time when I wanted to for a particular purpose. I have found this greatly expands my creative options. I own some zooms (14-24, 70-200, two kit lenses), and some primes (50, 105, 60 micro). In the future I'm leaning toward buying fast 1.4 primes.

I use a wide angle zoom, short tele zoom and long tele zoom. The wide angle is for work and play. Short tele is a walk about and the long tele for landscape and street.
The primes are fast and specifically for night shooting.

I have more than 5 lens but most of them are from my film cameras that I am not using very much at this time. For my Canon 7D, I have 2. The kit and a 70-300. At some point I will invest in lens for the Canon.
