The new director must have a real love for animals - If the director really loves the animals they would want to learn, seek help, and be open to working with the welfare programs, spay and neuter programs, and others to make our animal control shelter a good place for the animals it serves.
Experience means nothing if the director doesn't truly love the animals it is there to help. Look at Harris, he could say he has had lots of experience !!! That doesn't make a successful director!
