hi,
even hdfc or for that matter any other credit card like standard chartered, which charges for redemption, in the form of delivery charges or processing fees. there is no way to avoid that, and it their way to not only earn some extra bucks but also ensure that a redeemed item is delivered to your doorstep in a safe way.

Hi
I have been the victim of ICICI loot reward program recently. I have redeemed rewards from payback but was not informed about their recent change in policy or their right to charge a handling fee and a service fee for redeeming points in payback.
That's stupid of ICICI ....rather should say making the customers stupid by levying such charges.then how come they could call it as a reward?
When payback sends the rewards ,how come ICICI could charge me for it.
Well there is no info abt handling fee visible.
Weird.
ICICI is a big cheater in this. I have lost so much of money in this way, until I realized after a long time. Charging Rs.25 is equivalent to 100 payback points which we would have earned after lot of transactions.

Firstly I want to say THANKS for coming up with this survey. Actually I have same concern since ICICI has started this loot and I raised my concern with ICICI and payback management but nothing happened. One more additional point I want to highlight that ICICI is charging cash for redemption and not points. This is only LOOT...

Hi prathvi
Congrats on taking a step against the loot of icici. As i came to know i minimised the use of icici debit n credit cards and start using other cards to earn reward points. But thanks to you opening my eyes making me aware that they are claming on payback points which are earned through other sources.
It's not ethical in any way.I totally agree wth you

If ur calling it as loyalty program and u earn points from ur expenses and u have every right to redeem it for free... If u get charged for same then I don't think it deserve to be called locality progm... Or take the joining fees and make it a membership card which justifies their attitude

HDFC BANK also charges a fee for redemption of points earned by using their credit card / debit card.
