Hey Micheal, Thank you so much for showing interest in my blog. I do love to share EVERYTHING about my garden and bugs and slugs have always been a part of my garden and some seasons a bigger part then l would like. I do plant bug benificial plants every new season to try to bring in the good one. The Ladybird and the bees are still is my favourites, and l know how boring that is but they have both fascinated me since l was a child. Although this season they seemed to be in very small numbers. Its funny how you miss the little critters when their not there. Thanks for the advice on Haward Garrett Texas Bug Book l will defiantly be check it out. I do have a post or two to write on this subject and will defiantly get on to it in the next week. Thanks again for your support. Happy Gardening:) Bugs an All

Thanks for the opportunity to put in my two cents worth. I see from the poll that my category "All Things Slugs and Bugs" is not doing well, but I'm here to tell you that knowing what bugs to squash and which to encourage is a very important topic. Fascinating, too. Have you ever noticed the huge variety of little critters share our gardens? Here in Texas, one local master gardener, Howard Garrett (The Dirt Doctor) has published a book entitled "Texas Bug Book", 168 pages of text, with hundreds of amazing photos -- some of these critters are adorable! It's a joy to identify and enjoy the fauna in my garden with this wildly diverse population. Hopefully someone in your area has published a similar book relevant to your climate. You might want to Google "The Dirt Doctor" and ask him about it. He is a die hard organic gardener and lover of natural beauty and diversity. So, any chance of my topic being bumped up a bit in the poll?
    Michael
