When we become parents it is our responsibility to provide for our children. We do not 'let' them live with us. That kind of attitude does not create a loving, supportive environment where responsibility can be taught. As patents we teach work ethic through chores and also have the opportunity to teach money management and how to save. I agree with Michelle's response above as a way to involve both lessons.

I think some chores should be mandatory with no pay. They should also have the option to earn money by doing extra chores.
