The Sun should investigate why Baltimore County called off the private snow removal contractors that plow many of the county roads for them on Monday morning! Budget saving measure before all roads even had one pass??

The snow removal process is terrible. I live in Old Mille Estates, off of Winans Rd, and my street has not been plowed! The snow plows have come in the neighborhood and plowed the main street in the neighborhood, and removed the snow off of half of my street! They have not come back to remove the snow from the other half of the street, leaving many us stranded. This is ridiculous and inexcusable, to tell us that the streets will be cleared by a certain time and they are not; and to plow half of a street and not the other.

Absolutely Terrible Service for our tax dollars! The county has left their snow removal phone line off the hook - continuously busy. As of Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. our street (small extension of Old Court Road) 4502, 4504 and 4506 Old Court Road has not been touched by snowplow. I used snowshoes and my daughter got down on all fours to get out of our driveway of 300 ft and up to the main road to try to flag down snow trucks. Ten drove by without stopping. We have a private contractor who can plow our driveway but when he came yesterday, he could not get down our street as there is a 6 ft. wall of snow that was plowed in the way. We have been snowbound since Friday - going on 5th day now! My husband had a surgery follow-up appt. today which he missed and a physical therapy appt. this afternoon which he will miss.! The media needs to exposer this charade of Baltimore County - promising that by 10 a.m. Tuesday all roads will be plowed!

I wonder if schools will even open by Thursday. What ever might melt will only be "black ice" in the morning, not to mention those sidewalks.

My personal fave is calling every storm that overwhelms the county "unprecedented and historic." It's only unprecedented once. After that it's unprepared and unequipped. We have the absolute worst leadership from this guy. And he wants to be governor I hear...

Redstone and Yellowstone Roads in Kingsville have not been touched by a plow as of Monday afternoon. #BACOEmergency (Baltimore County Emergency Management) tweeted on Sunday that all county roads would be plowed by Monday afternoon. Their deception is what truly bothers me. I know two county executives whose political careers ended because of poor plowing management during snowstorms. I suspect voters here will reject the current county executive next time he runs for anything.

As of 3:00 pm Monday there has been no snow removal on Stoneybrook between Liberty Rd and Greens Lane, nor the adjoining streets.

The county counts a road that was barely plowed by a pick up truck (and still impassable) as plowed. Then, they plow 1/2 of a street for an emergency call and never come back.

The county website provided a phone number to report unplowed streets that DOES NOT work!!!
