Thank you Don. Fishing and hiking are so much better. For me it is raising animals and planting things. Whatever it is for anybody just find something positive to put your energies into and try to find ways to help someone else.

Reading through this blog rely gets my attention. There is so much that I don't know about addiction's. For someone to bare their souls to their God in a blog, makes me wonder just what did they go through. It' must be awful, and I don't ever want to get myself into that kind of a situation. I feel pretty lucky, because I've lived a life where there were lots of users around. It just never interested me. I'd rather go fishing,or burn some rubber,or go climb a mountain.
To Sean ,and Jim :: I take my hat off to you guy's :: job well done.

Jim, you are so right. I was a heavy drinker myself until I got Jesus in my life. The problem today is everybody wants to call wrong right. When we don't call wrong what it is we don't see we are all broken and need a savior. Until you surrender yourself to God and pray for guidance by the holy spirit all of your attempts to stop doing things are in the flesh and meet failure. I couldn't stop drinking until I stopped trying to do it in my own power and gave it to God. Stay in the Word, pray and admit you need God and before you know it you don't even want these things. Making laws against them doesn't work. Law is man trying to fix it. Jesus nailed law to the cross. Seek him and you will not need the things of the world.

well I think it all should be illegal, anything that alters a persons behavior should be banned. There are some good people out there if they were not drinking or doing drugs bad things would not happen. But we all know that it will not happen.. Now we are going to legalize pot why not? abortion is legal look at how many kids have lost there lives cause she could not keep her legs closed .We have gay marrage now so lets just legalize everything this contry has lost its moral compass. No one seems to believe in God anymore if they did most of this stuff would not be happening.People do not like the 10 commandments but if they were followed we would not be doing this.God is good I used to be a drinker and doper and now I am not .Really do not need it when you have God.God LOVES you just love him back

Hey The Answer, I did figure you would be in here today I do agree with on the GLHT put them on a island great idea, but guns do not kill people, people kill people, bring back capital punishment eye for a eye that would take care of the helmet law. This still is supposed to be a free country but everyday people take away someone's rights I do know something good luck getting my guns.

If a person puts anything in their body that causes that person to be under it's influence they have to be responsible for the outcome. If they take a life, because of it,then their life should be terminated. [[ an eye for an eye ]]
The problem as I see it. Maine's laws on drunk driving are not severe enough. We all here it-"He/She was driving with a suspended license. Believe my, friends and neighbor's know when people take to the streets without it,but don't call it in. If it can be proven that the family let this happen, then they should be charged with aiding the perpetrator.

I have an idea. Let's put all the gays, lesbians, homosexuals, Transgenders, petyphials, child abusers, child molesters and drug addicts on a large (obviously enormous) island with no food or water and see who is the fittest.

This would eliminate nearly every question wabi asks. It would also solve most problems today.

  • The Answer - 8 years ago

Mike is right. It is not just people on drugs that cause deaths. Guns also cause deaths. Also people not wearing snowmobile helmets die to.

  • Mike - 8 years ago

I think that the question is more for marijuana not meth. I agree that no one should drive under the influence, but do not just put it twords one drug their is more than one out there and you have to open your mind. Also It is not just people on drugs who cause deaths, whether that be meth, coke, pot, alcohal.. ect.

  • brian - 8 years ago

Here's a great concept just stop giving it to them, we are not solving the problem by giving them the METH crap, we are just enabling them, but oh we shouldn't do that to them they have rights, what about the people they kill they had more rights, just saying.

Dr.Vanjay of the Methadone clinic says they cannot keep their "patients" for four hours after they have their "medicine" to see how they are doing. I say make it a prerequisite for the "patients" to have to stay there for four hours so that nobody else gets killed on the road if they NEED their drugs so bad! This will take the pressure off police and save lives.

I am assuming the answer should be no since we are talking about it. Why don't you ask to two families that lost people last year because they got hit by losers drugged on meth.
