OH wow! The Village idiot is back.

Also don thomas the only way you wouldn't slbe starting a fight is by not saying anything. Just saying I'm not trying to start a fight is irrelevant when you say something so stupid.

Don thomas, so because he adopted a black child, had an abuse father and work his way up that makes him a good governor. You are a moron. He is the worst governor maine has ever had. He is illiterate, a bully and throws temper tantrums when he doesn't get his way.

It's behooves me to see the negativity towards Governor Paul LePage. I'm not trying to start a fight, but jee's this guy started from the ground up trying to make Maine competitive again. First thing he did was balance the humongous hospital bill. ( and he had to fight for that all the way} Then it was housing for our Vet's ( a couple rundown house's that he took upon himself to make them suitable ,and again he had to battle. Then it was food stamp fraud, and he's made a dent into that. Mostly by himself. He has an upstanding family ,and he and his wife Ann adopted an African American boy. The guy fought his way to an education from the Street's of Auburn - Lewiston ,all the while coming from an abusive home,[[ his father ]]
the people who rundown this great Governor ~ MAKE ME SICK ~ each one of you should be run out of this state ~ you don't belong in the Great State of Maine.

Now it's an abuse power rap. This man needs to be stopped.
Term limits are a blessing. But I hope something will be done to stop LePage before three more years go by.
Who knows? He may be looking at ways to stay longer as governor, though no one has hinted at that, yet, that I've heard.

THe abuse of power comes from the denial of the people, not wanting to submit to authority..

Diane, cabinet appointments assist the governor or president in being executive over their administration. Lepage knew his appointment wouldn't get approved. An executive can do the whole job themselves but that would be ineffective. Lepage is demonstrating that the democratic controlled legislative will not pass his appointment unless it is someone who thinks like them. The appointment should pass and if the appointment does something illegal they should be removed.

OMGODDESS! The majority people committing on here are complete morons! Lepuke cannot assign himself education commissioner! That is a post that has to be approved.....othe factions play in here...He does not have the authority to appoint himself! He can't even effectively run this state....we do not want him having majority rule over our school system!

Dawn, this is not an executive action it is an appointment. The republican congress has approved all of Obama's appointments even the incredibly partisan loretta lynch who won't indict Clinton for obvious criminal handling of top secret material. In my life i have signed and completely understood numerous nondisclosure statements and knew exactly what I was doing with classified material because no one handles it without signing that they understand it first. Finally, Obama's executive orders are obvious attempts to create law. If he wanted to be a lawmaker why didn't he finish his first term in the senate?

  • dawn - 8 years ago

The same people who support Obama's executive actions are the one's who oppose LePage.

Gov. Lepage will do just what he wants to.if he doesn't get his way he will just through a baby fit. my daughter acts more mature then our Gov. does. I will be glad when his term is OVER.

I've said for years now that the two party system we have in place now is a disgrace and not very effective. We should have a one party system where we vote for the best qualified person and on issues what is best for the citizens.

  • Scott - 8 years ago

It doesn't matter if you are a rep or dem. The each party thinks the other is wrong or corrupt. When reality is they are ALL corrupt.

  • Don Thomas - 8 years ago

    I agree with Susan

  • Susan - 8 years ago

Regarding Scott's comment: the abuse of power in this state and the country lies with the democrats.

  • sean - 8 years ago

Here we go again. Do exactly as the democrats want and it is "bipartisan". Disagree and you are obstructionist and interfering with "common sense progress". Obama gets every cabinet member he wants regardless of how extreme they are. Lepage is an executive too, he should be able to appoint who he wants unless they are a criminal.

  • Don - 8 years ago

Governor LePage had no choice:: He's fighting an uphill battle with Socialist Democrat's with only one thing on their simple minds, and that is make life hard for him. It's so obvious that they don't give a damn about Maine. Here is just one more reason for term limits.

  • Scott - 8 years ago

I think Lepage is an abuse of power.
