I picked "possibly". I only prefer MS because of better support and upgrades. If a third party could convince me that they would support the device properly, I'd be willing.

I loved Nokia phones and I don't like what Microsoft is doing with its legacy. With every new phone that came out after the acquisition is clear that there is no clear vision of where the phones need to positioned or how they tie into the existing lineup. I also loved what Microsoft started with WP 7 and I hate how much they changed until Windows 10 Mobile in order to make the UX similar to iOS or Android. Microsoft should have stuck with their initial approach to the OS, not change it because the other guys were doing it differently (and in no way better in my view). Being different should have been a marketed as a selling point.

Just Nokia or Microsoft otherwise "say no to mobile"

I'd still prefer a Nokia make Windows phone. Don't like the 950 series of phones. Do have the liking for VAIO lately. Yet, nothing like Nokia

Only if it's camera is good and its specs are high-end. With the exception of the Lumia's no one else makes a high end windows phone do they? Anything less and im probably going android...

None of the alternates have cameras equal to Lumia. Has to get to at least PureView or LG G4 before I'd consider switching

I wish that Microsoft would approach MVNOs to offer them the ability to offer a Windows Phone in addition to the Android they are all stuck on. Especially if the MVNO is customizing to make their wifi and cellular combo work.

I like that MS is creating pretty good hardware and challenging others to beat them in price and specs. Pretty good strategy. But I would stick with MS, unless I get to the point I don't have Money to buy the real stuff! Or there is something that really stands out, which would be hard, since I have not seen any announcement so far which would beat MS in screen resolution, Camera, supported GSM Bands, dual SIM. Still the 950's are the best all around. Price is just a detail. I have learned that good phones retain their value well. I am always able to sell my old devices to help paying for my new ones.

I have owned every os a phone has to offer and the simplest most reliable os has Been windows and I have a blu and an LG and a Nokia they all work wonderfully.

I would always love any windows os nonetheless the phone that is operating it because windows os is just cool in its own style and you cant argue that.

A phone is a phone. A high end windows phone is or will be part of an expanding ecosystem that supports my work style. They have all of the apps I need because I am not a time waster.

I prefer buying no Windows Phone. This is because the OS is dead and no device with this stupid "Continuum" gimmick will not save it. For now, I will be sticking to my current iPhone 6S and my Macbook Pro.

I have tried the HTC M8 and I also own the LG Lancet. (backup phone now)
I prefer for now my Lumia 735 but with limited phones from my carrier I wouldn't be against trying a larger screened non Microsoft phone if one ever shows up on my carrier.

I have m8 for windows. Wife has 8x. Both are way better than the 928 backup phone we have.

With Microsoft being the only vendor at the moment making a hi end phone, I would need to see other windows phone vendors build similar or better phone than the 940xl. I would be looking for 3 important factors SCREEN SIZE AND QUALITY, PHONE SPEED, CAMERA QUALITY.
