I was SO disappointed when they reopened here and didn't have their traditional cake donut so have only been there once. Their donuts are disgusting. It's SOUTHERN MAID ALL THE WAY FOR ME!!! I grew up on them. Back in the 70's Krispy Kreme was open on 70th street. You could go in and watch the making of the donuts on conveyor belts and all and back then they had the BEST Cake donuts but nothing else was good especially compared to Southern Maid!! I don't care that they're leaving. Good riddance!!

I will not be buying doughnuts anywhere else. I do not like any other doughnut place in shreveport/bossier city area. I have sampled them all and I do not like prefab foods.

I detest Krappy Kreem doughnuts and it doesn't bother me in the least to see them fold here.

Have a lot of wonderful memories of taking my father in law for coffee and doughnuts before his doctor appointments. He always had a medium coffee an 2 glazed donuts. He always bought the same for me,but I would only eat the 1 and he took the extra one home. Then he would ask the staff to make 2 doz fresh donuts for these an office staff.They always did. It was a 3 yr tradition, my wonderful loving Father in law passed away 2 1/2 yes ago. Sometimes I will drop in to the shop for a memory with dad.
