Both look less than wonderful, but with Betty wearing them...either dress looks much better
John - 9 years ago
For some reason, I think pockets on a dress is the BEST IDEA EVER!
Now Betty won't have to use her boots to store everything.
Evie - 9 years ago
Oh my goodness!
Both are so cute! But, truly, Betty could make anything look good! I especially LOVE number 1.
Jessica - 9 years ago
Dress number 2 is adorable! Please send it to me so I don't have to go searching through every Good Will to find it. Also, Betty looks like she should be my next best friend.
tanya porras - 9 years ago
Both dresses are fun and cute,
dress 1 is a long walk on the beach while
Dress 2 is fun loving holly hobby style that would be super cute on a toddler
Randy - 9 years ago
Betty Rock is SOOO cute, she would make any dress look GOOD !!!
Jenn - 9 years ago
Um...can I have dress number 2 if she doesn't want it? I kinda love it.
Rodbuilder - 9 years ago
Wally should continue to pursue his sewing interests. I like seeing another fellow man that knows his way around the "thread injector", a.k.a. sewing machine! I think it is an extension of that creativity that uses ones talent for seeing a finished product and backing through the steps to get to the end result. Just like in woodworking!
Sew on brother!
Vaughn - 9 years ago
Betty you could totally go into fashion as a college degree
Vaughn-yes a guy - 9 years ago
dress 1 is the public garment, while 2 is fun and wouldnt be out in public garment, if both were in one dress it would be like a mullet, buiseness in front, party in back.....
Nelsy - 9 years ago
Betty you could wear a plastic bag and belt it and still look fabulous! Dress 1 is stylish and you could wear out in public, but dress 2, you would have to stay in the barn.
Jennifer - 9 years ago
If dress 2 didn't have pockets in the front, I would have probably chosen that one (even in spite of the two different fabrics that don't work well together).....and Dress 1....well I had no choice but to choose that because there wasn't a third option (C - none of the above). (sigh)
But truthfully, you both are AWESOME at the radio....stick with THAT as a career ! ;-)
Kimber - 9 years ago
I love the color of dress one, as for dress 2..maybe next time do one pattern and no pockets lol
Sally - 9 years ago
I had trouble deciding and when I heard the descriptions this morning I definitely thought I would go with Wally's but I had to go with Bekah. Her's just seemed more practical and cute :) also Betty is just the cutest thing ever so....
Christie - 9 years ago
Sorry Wally. Design was okay. The material not so much. Reminded me of my Maw Maw's apron. Lol. Sorry :(
Bekah....great job!
Mike - 9 years ago
At the risk of joining Wally and loosing my "man-card", I have to say that dress 2 shows a true multi-level engineering approach. It demonstrated a balance of functionality along with style and still remained feminine.
OK...I know, I just lost my man-card.
On a side note....Betty Rock's hair looks good for someone who only washes it once a week.
Monica - 9 years ago
I loved Wally's dress!! It is adorable on Betty Rock. It is a fashion statement for sure. YOU can really sew Wally!!!
Jenny - 9 years ago
I love those boots!!! Fab-u-lous! Dress 2 is my favorite! :)
Isabelle - 9 years ago
Wow! You guys did amazing! My personal favorite is Bekah's. But Wally you did great too! Good job to both of you!
Rebecca Black - 9 years ago
Wow Bekah!! I am super impressed!! I didn't expect yours to be so cute after listening to the show this morning.VERY IMPRESSED!! Oh, Wally... although I am equally impressed with the hours of hard work you obviously put into this adorable piece, your dress made me think Holly Hobby all the way. I loved Holly back in the day and Betty is truly a super model in whatever she puts on, but the mixed materials really didn't do much for me... Great work and kudos to both of you!! The real winner is Betty on this one!!!!! :)
Michelle - 9 years ago
Sorry for the question marks those were supposed to be emojis lol
Michelle - 9 years ago
Wally get out of the apron material isle lol! The design is great but the pattern ???? Bekah your skirt is f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s ???? ????????great job to both of you! Thanks for keeping things fun! Xoxo
Charles Lewis - 9 years ago
Should have listen to the PodCast 1st . I was so wrong on who made what skirt.
Charles Lewis - 9 years ago
I truly like them both. They both look great but in very different ways. You can tell by the description the 1st option is Wally's. I like how it accentuates Betty's natural curves & has the see-through portion that draws the eyes to Betty's very nice legs & cute feet. The second one is Bekah's. It plays more to Betty's natural playful attitude & her personality. I could see Betty walking down the street of Mayberry in this dress on her way to the soda shop. I am not sure which dress looks the best because Betty makes both of them look so beautiful.
Kristy - 9 years ago
I liked Wally's dress, but the different color pattern for the pockets ruined it. It made it look like a dress for an old lady. I love Bekah's but I think the overlay should have been shorter or the skirt should have been a little longer. Either way I liked Bakah's more and voted for it!
Michelle - 9 years ago
If Wally had chosen different fabrics I might have gone with that; lets just say it was too many patterns! I really liked number one though. Maybe just shorten the overlay to be a little longer than the rest of the skirt? Loved the matching hair scarf!
Senia - 9 years ago
I love both !! So I voted for both lol...but if i'd have to pick just one - it would be Bekah's !! Wally's was awesome but the fabric design wasn't my style but the dress was super cute...both looked amazing on Betty !!!!! Wally you did an absolute amazing job !!! Wow....very impressed...but then again I never doubted you. Bekah you did REALLY REALLY GOOD...how you were talking during the week I thought it would be bad, it looks really good...LOVE the color and the style....and you were brave for doing chiffon. I would definitely wear it and buy it !!! Be proud of yourself you did an awesome job !!
Chris - 9 years ago
Excellent job Wally! I'd definitely wear the dress you made. I love the fabrics and the pockets. Bekah did a great job too but in the picture the sheer fabric looks more like a trash bag. Maybe a different color or if it were shorter in the front than the back....or maybe it's just the way the photo makes it look. I like them both though.
Lauren - 9 years ago
I really like dress 1 better. I think the matching headband totally makes the outfit outstanding. Dress 2 reminds me of grandmas apron. Sorry Wally and FABULOUS job Bekah!
Denise - 9 years ago
I don't like sheer fabric. Also, Wally, you have to learn to be more unbiased in your descriptors. I thought this was supposed to be "Blind" voting. =)
Heather - 9 years ago
Hard decision. I choose wall's dress cause it was super cute and fit her well. The skirt I didn't really care for the clear part over it. Made it look kinda strange. Had the clear material over the top of skirt not been there prob would have voted for skirt.
321peguin - 9 years ago
Wally, you really need to learn how to coordinate fabrics..... I didn't have to think twice to vote for Bekah's!
Dress 1 looks better, but only because, as Vincent said, Dress 2 has weird looking pockets. I actually thought that Dress 2 was a dress that could be work when gardening. So for application, Dreas 2 wins, but in style Dress 1 takes the cake. Sorry, Wally, but those pockets, bruh...
Carla - 9 years ago
I thought looking at the outfits on line would make it easier to vote, it didn't! The mental picture I had from listening to the show was train wreck. Much to my surprise, they are both cute in their own right. Bekah's is more my style, so I will have to vote for her design. Wally's is cute but just has more "country" looking style.
Heather - 9 years ago
I actually love the dress with the pockets! I think it's super cute, and I love having pockets!
Erica - 9 years ago
I love both outfits. But I had to go with Dress #2. It was more my style and what I would wear. But I agree that the chiffon skirt does need to be shortened!
Haneen - 9 years ago
The pockets are what did it for me. Couldn't get past the pockets. Dress 1 is by far my favorite!
Charity - 9 years ago
BOTH designs are great! I would wear them both (after Wally shortens that hem)!! Rock you look great in both and I don't think Bekah's looks tight at all, perfect for church or a date. I gotta go with Wally, even though I know how he will respond if he wins.....lol
Vincent - 9 years ago
I couldn't get past the pockets.. Very weird.. They look like oven mits.. Sorry I didn't want to vote for Wally but you forced my hand . Lol
They model is the highlight of this competition! I actually like Wally's design, but am not crazy about the choice of fabrics. Wally could have achieved a very sophisticated look if the fabric choices weren't so "down home". Nice job though!
diane - 9 years ago
Betty looks great it both designs, and I like both designs, but had to go with Bekah's. Sorry Wally, nothing personal; yours looks good too.
Monica - 9 years ago
They are both cute. Had to give it to Bekah though, simply because I'm not a fan of mixing multiple prints. Well done to both of you though.
Jewels - 9 years ago
Bekah - I voted for your design! Working with chiffon is HARD! Is that a matching headband on Miz Betty?
Wall-lay - Sorry, dude. Yours just reminded me too much of something I might have made in 8th grade home ec class.
Love you all!
Maria Harrison - 9 years ago
Think Rock looks absolutely gorgeous in both outfits????
Roberta Hartley - 9 years ago
Sorry, Bekah, I had to vote for Wally's design just on a comfort level. But, my gracious, to challenge chiffon on the first time out of the box and to have it turn out SO wonderfully - you have an inner seamstress that is straining to get out. It is an INCREDIBLE first time effort and one that you should be thoroughly proud of!
Oh the other hand, I was sad NOT to see any superhero fabric anywhere on either of these outfits.
Denise - 9 years ago
If you are looking for something you can ACTUALLY wear out in public, dress 1 is DEFINITELY the way to go. Sorry Wally, you tried.
Both look less than wonderful, but with Betty wearing them...either dress looks much better
