I'm a dakota fanboy, belong to every forum on them and am very aware of the cult following these great little machines have earned. I have 4 second gens including my project AND my daily driver, a mix of parts and a 95. One of witch I actually got for free just cause I was there to haul it off the property. My 99 is currently waiting for me to finish it's 360 stroker. Now the original 318 made her boogey along pretty good, I did the 360 swap for fun and happened across the stroker kit a colleague had bought only to realize he was too lazy to actually put it together (I got it half price and still in the FedEx box) Wayyy more power than it can use being a front heavy pickup even with 300 pounds of ballast I ran in the box. I don't plan on making a profit or break even for that matter. Probably will end up wrapped around a fence post sooner or later. This v10 truck seems be bone stock body wise, the paint isnt anything special. The only reason to have an engine that big is to say you have one, in this case you can be proud to say you have a dakota with a viper engine, but you didn't build it yourself. Good on the guy who shoehorned that beast in there, if I had been him I'd cling to it for dear life. But more power than you can use, so why feed two extra cyl's when really all you get is "VIPER" embossed valve covers and a six speed stick.? Price wise it all depends on how bad the seller needs cash and the buyer wants those nice valve covers I mentioned. Even with my parts trucks my daily driver, my project, dozens of trips to the scrap yards and every loose Dodge part I could carry home, IV spent less than 8000. Granted I do all the work myself and shop around to save money. Also in five mins of Google searches I found identical tonneau's and whatever "custom" suspension he has if any is a bolt on kit. My two cents is this guy sunk crazy cash into this having someone build it. If he did it himself we would have endless details on the truck, male ego and a craftsman's pride would compel him to share everything he possibly could. He knows his truck ain't worth what he has in it. I'll spend my hard earned dollars elsewhere. That's my rant for today
