Are you happy in the direction of the Cleveland Browns

It's been 50 years since I saw the Browns as champions. I am a Browns fan and every year I'm hopeful that this year will be better. Sadly, that hasn't been the case as of late. I don't know what the change in the front office will bring but I do like the fact that someone finally realizes that the same old thing isn't working. On one hand, a total rebuild does not excite me but on the other hand I think it makes sense, My biggest worry is that Haslam gets impatient and changes things up again before letting this new direction run it's course. Do I think we'll be competitive immediately? Sadly, no. Do I think we can steadily improve? I hope we can. That's the only thing that will keep things from another reboot after 2 years. I hate the thought of waiting for a winner for who knows how long, but this new regime has to be given time (4-5 years probably) in order to see what it can do. Consistency is the key. Let it play out and we'll see if the Browns can return to the kind of team that the fans deserve to have. For those of us who refuse to give up and bleed orange and brown with every loss, our undying loyalty will be rewarded...it just has to be, right?

We had a lot of money going to talented players but just not showing in the win column! Hue Jackson is a smart, players coach and knows how to get players to produce! Maybe a total cleansing is just what's needed! Give final say in everything to Hue since it's his butt on the line and let him build, shape and mold the team he knows how to coach and get some more wins than losses on the board and dare I say advance into and do well in the post season! But one thing is so blatantly obvious it has to be said, Jimmy Haslam has got to be a hands off owner and let the people who live, breath and eat football and have experience winning take control of this team with no interference! I know greedy Jimmy won't do that because his talent is making tons of money for himself regardless of the quality of product, typical businessman but football man he is NOT! I'm a lifelong fan of over 40 years but if I don't see us moving forward this year my Browns Backer card is going in the trash! 17 yrs of losing is disgraceful after all the great years in this teams history! We have become one of the biggest jokes in the NFL! It's an insult to the fans, the great players who wore the jersey proudly and won titles and championships. Instead what we're remembered for is wasting time and money on draft picks that turn out to be duds, off field behavior worse than spoiled little children and playing with little to no passion to WIN! I hope Alex, Mitchell Tashaun and all those guys do well in the future but it's time to clean house, draft wisely and stop wasting time on veterans past their prime and pick up guys coming into their peak! We have the cap room to really pick up some budding talent but you can't snooze too long or a lot of those players are gonna end up on other teams! I'm sure there is a method to the madness! I coached on the Jr. high and HS levels and it takes 3 to 4 yrs for things to come together and Cleveland has gotta learn championship teams aren't built in 1 to 2 years, maybe in Wonderland but not the NFL. And look around for players outside the NFL, talent in the CFL and Arena ball too! Didn't Kurt Warner come from outside the NFL to win a SuperBowl and have a memorable career! It pays to be open minded but I'm holding my breath to see how a baseball guy will work out in a management spot in the NFL! Hope for the best but brace for a complete shambles! Nowhere to go but up so how about at least getting close to .500 this year and salvage a little pride and give the fans a reason not to be ashamed to be a Browns fan for a change!!!
