We need an airport like I need a hole in my head. It is the most ridiculous use of money for the area. There are businesses the lease space at the former K-25 Site that already employ many people in the area. What about them? In addition, there is a perfectly good airport in Knoxville that is not very far away. I absolutely do not want any of my tax dollars going to this, or giving them tax breaks that we cannot afford either.
