Your Turn: You've been elected to a state office with 40 employees. Ten of those jobs are vacant. How would you handle pay for your staff?

FINALLY, SOME HELP! No raises, but I'd be sure to hire people for those vacant jobs.

LOOK, TIMES ARE TOUGH. No raises, no hires. I'd try to save the state as much money as possible and hold off on raises and hires until the economy turns around.

RAISES FOR EVERYONE! I'd give everyone a small pay bump to thank them for picking up the slack.

SERIOUSLY, THANK YOU. I'd give bigger raises to a few employees who have made a big difference.
