I got 155 marks in both papers. As per Sirs cutoff its par score.
I gave 2 mains 2012 and 2015 of Mpsc and 2 of 2014 2013 upsc.In last year exam i had 114 but sbc cutoff was 106 . When calculated score I thought i will not clear so not studied and concentrated on upsc . In upsc i scored 125 in GS and was confident that I will clear. But reverse happened MPSC cleared and not upsc. Post result started studying . MPSC mains result missed cutoff by 3 marks for interview.
But I was very much surprised to see just 45 marks in English as I wrote accurate grammar and my writing is good . But in marathi all the grammar was wrong but then also they gave me 57 marks.
Some candidates got 70-75 marks in english and why my score is such low ?

last year, Posts 368, cutoff 124, this year, Posts 109, cutoff... ??? 135, if posts increased by 250+ then only cutoff will come to 120. definitely there are more new services are included in rajyaseva like skills development, MIDC, etc so number of posts will increased.Number of questions may be cancelled and answers will be changed in both papers. so unpredictability increased. Article on maharashtra times( 19th april)predict 120 cutoff.

I think you plan your study time well and read quality study material you dont need to quit your current job. Im a doc and was working in d hosp even on the previous day of exam. I got 135 . I dont know whther they are enough marks but just saying that its not absolute to join classes

Mpsc state services exam is highly unpredictable..vry messy..unlike upsc,it doesnt test candidates knowledge n hard work..it checks how d students r lucky based on probability of their chances..look at d weird ,senseless quests they ask..we dont afraid of toughness or level of difficulty.....except few,what they ask r all sub standard quest ...cancellation of quest is also disheartening...come on mpsc dont play such a game with us which has no rules...i really think that out of 200 finally selected ..only 70 cud be real ones...courtesy mpsc.....

I m little bit unhappy with what my fellow friends have been talking about like blaming mpsc examination and its overall modus operandi.i have get 147 marks in gen category .i want to tell my all learnedbfriends that in every examination there is 20,60,20 pattern means there are 20 which everbody can be able to solve .20 cant be be able to solve at all by anybody.remaining60 decide everything.so please talk abou 60 questn in general. Dont talk abourt that 40 questn.keep it up.good day

Nothing is gonna happen from mpsc. They r not going to take any action on those questions for sure. Simple reason is those who hv scored more will challenge this if mpsc decides to forfeit.
Anil sir will calculate cut off but that is again tentative. Don't take it as a Gospel. Simple logic is for 109 seats, merit will at least touch 130. If vacancies are going to increase, say at least 100, cut off will be 120.
Those who r claiming it to be 110 are fooling themselves and others. But my suggestion from my own exp is u should start right away for mains even if u hv scored 50. That will bolster ur chances for other exams like psi, sti et AL.
Remember: Daily study is the best study.

Of questions wrong pan decision making wale sodun , then do this (X)-(Y÷3) = Z . ata ya Z la 2.5 ni multiply kar alel multiplication tuze marks astil ya madhe decision making che marks add kar for example 76 question no. La 2.5, 77 la 0, 78 la 1.5 ase ale astil tyanchi addition kar total paper 2 che marks yetil . for example maze 40 right ahet 18 wrong ahet and decision making madhe total 6 marks ale tar maze marks 40-(18÷3)=40-6=34 so 34×2.5=85 ata ya madhe decision making che 6 marks add karne so total 85+6=91 marks zale.

महाराष्ट्र लोकसेवा आयोगालाही आता ‘योगायोगां’चे अनुभव यायला लागले आहेत. नुकत्याच झालेल्या राज्यसेवा पूर्वपरीक्षेत काही खासगी शिकवण्यांनी घेतलेल्या चाचण्यांच्या प्रश्नपत्रिकांमधील काही प्रश्न पूर्वपरीक्षेत जसेच्या तसे विचारण्यात आले आहेत. एका स्पर्धा परीक्षेच्या क्लासतर्फे परीक्षेपूर्वी घेण्यात आलेल्या चाचणीच्या प्रश्नपत्रिकेतील आणि आयोगाच्या पूर्वपरीक्षेतील १६ प्रश्नांमध्ये ‘योगायोगा’ने साधम्र्य आहे. याबाबत उमेदवारांनी आयोगाकडे तक्रार केली आहे. राज्यसेवा पूर्वपरीक्षा १० एप्रिलला झाली. परीक्षेत विचारलेले अभ्यासक्रमबाह्य़ प्रश्न, भाषांतरातील चुका यामुळे ही परीक्षा उमेदवारांमध्ये आधीच चर्चेत आहे.
स्पर्धा परीक्षांची तयारी करून घेणाऱ्या पुण्यातील दोन-तीन संस्थांच्या प्रश्नपत्रिकेतील प्रश्न आयोगाच्या प्रश्नपत्रिकेत दिसत आहेत. एका संस्थेच्या सराव चाचण्यांपैकी एका प्रश्नपत्रिकेतील साधारण १६ प्रश्न पूर्वपरीक्षेतही विचारण्यात आल्याचे समोर येत आहे. अपवाद वगळता बहुतेक सारे प्रश्न आणि त्याचे पर्यायही सारखेच असल्याचे दिसत आहे. आयोगाच्या प्रश्नपत्रिकेतील ‘अ’ संचातील प्रश्नक्रमांक १८, २०, २५, ४०, ४२, ४३, ४५, ४८, ५६, ७३, ७४, ७८, ७९, ८०, ८१ या प्रश्नांबाबत तक्रार करण्यात आली आहे.
आयोगावर २०११ मध्येही अशाच प्रकारचा आरोप झाला होता. त्या वेळीही एका खासगी संस्थेच्या प्रश्नसंचातील अनेक प्रश्न परीक्षेत जसेच्या तसे विचारण्यात आल्याची तक्रार उमेदवारांनी केली होती. परीक्षा पुन्हा घेण्याची मागणीही करण्यात आली होती. मात्र, त्या वेळी तक्रारींमध्ये काहीही तथ्य नसल्याचे आयोगाकडून जाहीर करण्यात आले होते.
अधिक प्रश्नांची शक्यता?
खासगी संस्था उमेदवारांसाठी सराव चाचण्या घेतात. अगदी १० ते १५ प्रश्नपत्रिकांच्या संचापर्यंत प्रश्नपत्रिका पुरवण्यात येतात. एका संस्थेच्या एकाच प्रश्नपत्रिकेतील इतक्या प्रश्नांत साधम्र्य असेल, तर सगळ्या प्रश्नसंचाची तपासणी केल्यास साधम्र्य असणारे प्रश्न अधिकही असू शकतील, अशी तक्रारही उमेदवारांनी केली आहे.
काही प्रश्नांमध्ये साधम्र्य असले तरी सर्व प्रश्न जसेच्या तसे नाहीत. वाक्यरचना व पर्याय क्रमात फरक आहे. जुन्या प्रश्नपत्रिकांतील प्रश्नही आम्ही विचारतो. एखाद्या संस्थेने आमच्या जुन्या प्रश्नपत्रिकांच्या आधारे तयार केलेल्या चाचणीत साधम्र्य असण्याचीही शक्यता आहे. मात्र या प्रकाराची शहानिशा होत आहे.

अपुरे मनुष्यबळ, दर्जेदार प्रश्नपत्रिकांचा अभाव, कोलमडलेले वेळापत्रक व लांबवलेले निकाल इ. मुळे आयोगाची गुणवत्ता व कार्यक्षमता कमालीची घसरत आहे. याहून अधिक महत्त्वाचे उमेदवारांची उमेदीची वर्षे अधिकच अनिश्चित व ताणतणावाची बनत आहेत.
सरकार व आयोगाने उपरोक्त बाबीकडे तातडीने लक्ष देण्याची नितांत आवश्यकता आहे.

I think papers were slightly tough. Competition is higher than previous year because no of people giving MPSC increases year to year. Engineers and Drs shifted to this field. Chances to increase vacancies from 109 upto 200. In this poll only few are participited. What about entire Maharashtra. According to me cut off will be around 135.
Cut off will in-between 110-115...Paper is tougher than last any papers. 4-5 questions will be cancelled in 2nd key. Also post will be added before mains advertise (around 150)so start your preparation for mains if ur score is more than 110.
I think dis yr paper is tougher dan previous 1 in all sense, DM,passages,mental ability and paper 1. Cut off will be 120-130. Female 90-100.please send ur queries to Mpsc .

130+ = Green zone
125-130 = Positive Chance
120-125 = Positive chance with bit luck
115-120 = Positive Change with bit Luck and MPSC cancels some question or change answerkey for couple of questions atleast
110-115 : Chance only if MPSC generous this time
below 110: No harm in expecting in clearing cut off.

But actually ive given this exam jst fr d second time and ive not joined any study crcles nor am i in contact with anybody who attends classes or is giving the exam every year. So got absolutely zero idea how the cut off procedure is. Plz guys wid any xprience help me atleast till anil sir replies

Refer the link with your descrition because it has given some less useful books also . Prepare each subject syllabus n topic wise I would personally suggest you to prepare notes by yourself from these sources in mains they ask questions syllabus wise unlike the prelims which are vague and non related to syllabus so sticking to syllabus n last year questions will be helpful for mains preparation.

yes..this was my 1st attempt so cant comment on difficulty level of paper wrt last year..getting only 105..we should start studying irrespective of marks...because anyway it is going to help us in next pre / mains !!
Yes you are right Vikram Mpsc mains syllabus is exhaustive and inclusive so studying Mpsc mains syllabus will benefit not only for mains but also for other many exams including upsc. Sir please lavkar expected cut off jahir Kara.
I expect cut off in range 115-120. But anyway if cut off goes 140 + then also we have many exams like STI, PSI, other central government exams in upcoming period. If we prepare for Main examination then we will also cover the study of these upcoming exams. So don't think on what others are saying, and start preparation of MPSC state services main.

Last time got 47+57. This year 71+76
No doubt P1 was easier , P2 more or less similar.
Last year 55+90, without any seriousness. This time 6-7 days efforts 95+65. Seems p1 was easier than last time but p2 inflicted lot of destruction this time.
I second to you harish candidates above 115 must start their preparation for mains and in last 3 exams vaccines are raised by 100 on average so this time also total seats might be around 225 . so cut off will be or less than last year. Hoping for the best.

I think anil sir told us only to share our experience regdng TOUGHNESS or easiness of paper but here instead of discussing people themselves deciding cutoff , so please vote the marks maximally so the anil sir calculate it ,and hrlp us reducing our tension
As compare to last year.. Paper 1 is quite tough... And paper 2 is more easy than last year.... Last year I got 126 marks and this time I got 146 marks... Last year in paper 1 I got 70 marks and 56 in paper 2. BT this time I got 54 in paper 1 and 92 in paper 2... .. Hence 50 in paper 1 and 80 in paper 2.. That is who have 130+ together
. definitely clears pre exam.. Near about 150 post are surely increased till main exam.... In some area people get above 120 in avge.. And some area people got 100 as a avarge.... From last 3 years.. Cut off is always less than 1 or 1.5 marks than my marks.... That is from last 3 years my marks is cut off deciding line.... BT first time this year I am at safe side... Those above 120.. I think 3 to 4 questions` answer in first paper will be changed. 2-3 may get cancelled. For paper 2 , again, change in 3 4 answers is expected. MPSC is not known for changing their answers in a huge no. So hydrogen bomb, sugar in blood and other trivial questions like sita and modi will not get changed for sure.
If the no. of position does not get increased, expect the high cut off. At this juncture, i can easily see cut off touching as high as 140 because there are many who have gone past this score.. for 109 seats, there might be 1700-1800 ppl competing in mains.
Even for last STI, where vacancies were almost 500, and despite so many coaching classes claiming the cut off to be below 100 owing to tough papers, it went well above 108. Since competion is getting severe , no doubt, for state services, merit will touch at least 140.

Yes there r some mistake in answer key like gangotri is higher than badrinath ,noise pollution doesnot effect reproductive system,carnivorous both r correct ,cotton textile ,sez ,blood sugar level,states giving accent to constitutional bills,rand was killed after which festival.these all question need further discussion to arrive at answer whiich can be sent to mpsc.Also some questions should be straight away cancelled like modi is lefty or righty ,deer enticed by sita.whose so ever is close to mumbai please send correct answer as i m in banglore.

1) Idea of Pakistan is by Choudhari Rehamat Ali and never he was called Khan Ref: any stander history book like grover......

3) The hight of forests the options in Marathi and English are different
4) Hydrogen bomb thousand time powerfull so min twice criterion is fullfilled so its correct.....question 68
5)9th question in paper set A .....option both a and c but no such option in answers
6)question 35 statements are correct
7) question 51 statement b is wrong it does not affect reproductive system as it does not contain radiation
8) question 88..... centre is making devaluation ............ financial resources are flexibles as centre can levy cess ....
9) Question 89 ...... Maharashtra ATS was made in 1990 even 1st operation done in 1991 so 1 is also wrong

The question on hydrogen bomb says hydrogen bomb is atleast twice more dangerous means minimum twice and more than that . So it should be correct option
My Analysis :
Paper I was just a bit Tougher than last year particularly if you have great knowledge from books but less general knowledge/Analytical thinking. Many questions were tough but easy to guess from answers if you could take risks like eliminating options and then guessing the right one.
Paper II passages were no doubt difficult than last year's but mental ability/Maths questions were easier than last year. Passages took much time yet not convincing answers could be given as many of them were philosophical and some were technical.
My prediction is cut off will be 138 - 143.
Hydrogen bomb is thousands of times destructive than atomic bomb. Its not twice. I answered it wrong too :-(

Difficulty level for me was same as last year in Paper 1 while paper 2 was relatively easier

the normal BSL while fasting ranges from 70-100 mg/dl in an adult. The question was upto how much the fasting glucose level is normal . So its upto 100. Not upto 70. And yes PP level is normal upto 140 dats correct. So MPSC has got it right there
But yes Carnivores have both pointed teeth and smaller intestines. Dat answer by mpsc is wrong for sure.
I think sir should discuss about cut off.
We should discuss about difficulty level as asked by Anil sir.

i think analysis in last comment from ajax is right.Though people are saying cut off will be 140-150 for 109 post. (class owner are predicting 105-110) it will definitely come down to 130-135 / more than it. Here is not situation like 100 marks exam where u got candidates regular on 45,44,43.....marks as each question gives one mark, here it will be gap of 2-2.5 marks so defintely cut off will come down.

Paper 1 was very hard. No straight questions were asked on the given
official MPSC syllabus except for politics & science. But even with
science there was a problem that they asked very facutal questions
like amount of filtered liquid by kidney or glucose level before &
after lunch. SO overall scoring 40 marks in paper 1 was possible
if one's study was upto the mark.
Paper 2 was hard this year because of the complexity of passages as
compared to previous year & the difficulty level of non-passage
questions. Even the image problems were not that easy to solve in
short amount of time. Many of my friends were not able to attempt
as many questions as they did in last year paper. There was a loss
of around 8 questions which my friends were not able to solve
as compared to last year. Like if someone attempted 70 questions last uear
then this year they were only able to attempt 62 questions. Also, the last section that is decision making,
that too had some twists & many people have got zero marks in some
quetions of decision making. So from 12.5 marks alloted to decision
making many have got just 6 marks. Overall attempt of 45 questions
from 80 questions of paper 2 was seen in many of my friends.
Average marks scored by my group are 65 marks in paper 2.
I think ,second key important because as always since last 1-2 year it give 10-15 marks up down. Compare to 109 post cut off will be around 125_130
Cut off 130-135 or135-140 if vacancy increase cut off also decreases.
