Are you happy that Harriet Tubman will be on the $20 bill?

I can think of other women I might have preferred, Eleanor Roosevelt for example, but Tubman is not a bad choice as she is an important woman in history & Susan B. Anthony has already been honored with a coin. Her race is irrelevant to me, bit I do agree with the person who said that it is about time we stoop pretending like millions of African and Native American people were not taken from their homelands against their will, forced into servitude & slavery and legal "non human status" and MILLIONS of them killed by the Europeans that founded this country. The USA had a holocaust as shameful as the one in Europe where some White Christians deemed themselves superior to certain people and somehow also thought they had the right to take their land, property and enslave & slaughter millions of them. There is no difference. I am White and some of my ancestors came here as indentured servants, but none of them came against their will or were forced into slavery or driven off their ancestral lands due to their race. Some of them did own slaves and got rich off their unpaid labor and I see no reason to glorify such people. When I inherited my share of those riches I donated them to charity as ill gotten gains as I did not want money that came from exploiting other human beings.

I see nothing at all "superior" about the conduct of Whites....but in the same breath I do not see anything good about the conduct of the predominantly Black citizens of Baltimore who riot & destroy property, shoot each other almost on a daily basis and glorify drug dealers who died resisting getting arrested for the 43rd time and were hopped up on illegal drugs when they died.

Why can't every race be represented on different bills. That comment " just to please the blacks" shows just how you view us black people. It is a terrible world we live in. Luckily my family is diverse enough to celebrate a win for any race, color or creed. I wish everyone was the same. Lets support each other instead of tear each other down. ALL RACES

    Why.
    Leave it alone.
    Just to please the blacks.
Country is so fucked up already.
Blacks continue to kill each other. Let's change that.

Under Andrew Jackson, the Cherokee and other Indians were forced to leave their homeland and moved West (Trail of Tears). Traditionally, we have treated these peoples terribly, and many are still treated badly.
Therefore, what would be more fitting than a woman of Cherokee decent replace Jackson on the $20 bill?
It would be doubly fitting, as this particular Nation is often headed by a woman.
