There seem to be a few factions missing. Has the Diamond Dog Underground already been buried? Is the Golden Kingdom of Ahuizotl truly lost? And what of the Manehattan crew, does this mean we've seen the lights go out on Bridleway? (See what I did there? Didn't think so, but it was worth a shot)
Of the factions that stand, I place my trust in the Crystal Empire. Cadance is a capable leader and fighter, the Crystal Heart provides powerful magic and protection,and Flurry Heart's potential seems limitless. Oh, and they have sparkly shiny buildings.

Here's what i don't get , I've never realized how the name "New lunar republic" would make no sense even tho I've been supporting it since day 1 which i now feel silly for.
As we all know Luna is a princess . if the head of state is a Monarch then the state is not is NOT a republic but a kingdom unless Luna would give up her crown which is not the case since she is still addressed as princess. if the Monarch has a democratically chosen leader/chancellor to rule in her name the state would still be a kingdom (under a constitutional monarchy.)
The "new" in new lunar republic implies there has been a lunar republic in the past, what happened to that? personally i think this is meant to imply the young age of this new state.
"Lunar" , from the definition of the moon means "of, determined by, or resembling the moon." while the NLR is a said to be a separate if not seceded part of equestrian which is not on the moon.
The Solar Empire ( curse it) also makes no sense, (who in their right mind would support celestia? ) Jokes aside the name makes slightly more sense since an empire consists of multiple nations ruled by a monarch which in this case is celestia. this means that Celestia does NOT rule over a unified equestria but over multiple nations. (cloudsdale, an earth pony land and a unicorn land?) Solar by definition means "of, determined by, or resembling the Sun."
Thus, i think the Factions should be re-named to :
-The Solarian empire (which is NOT a unified equestria) or the Solarian Kingdom
-The New Lunarian Republic (if Luna Gives up her crown) or the Lunarian Kingdom

I'm a true blue Solar Empire person because praise the power of the sun and the Celestial rule/dictatorship.
However, going by what I prefer I'd vote for the Lunar Republic. I love the full moon on a nice cool evening; for biking, for a walk, all that good stuff.
Which is why I went for the Order of Discord because I love Discord and would take great evil pleasure from seeing the world turned upside down (at least, I would on the inside)

For Discord's faction, it would've been funnier if it was called "The Order of Chaos" instead of "The Order of Discord."
I'm actually a little disappointed there isn't a "Faction-less" or "Other" category for this one since some villains and species groups aren't included in this list, e.g. NMM, the Sirens, Sombra, Diamond Dogs, and Dragons. I think "Faction-less" would be for those "rebels" who think the whole faction thing is silly to begin with.

Can't say I'm surprised to see NLR wins this round. The Village of equallity does sound interesting if they, the ponies, wants to be equal. Then there's the order of Discord, I can't imagine an organisation with Discord as the big daddy. At least a group of cult ponies would be reasonable for this faction.
So I choose the Changelings instead. Why? Because since their first appearance, we can at least expect them to be evil because of their Queen. Yes? No? But some may think not all changelings are evil and I have a bit of proof. At the end of 'Slice of Life' episode 9 , season 5. There's this one Changeling that sits at the back of the room. Could it be that this changeling is an old friend of Cranky? Or Was he/she coincidentally got it by Vinyl. No one knows but that's my reason.

Well, although Luna's eternal night was apparently not a frozen, starved disaster, I prefer Celestia's easy going, friendly approach. And I have lousy night vision. On the flip side, Equestria split into factions does not sound like it's going to be peaceful anywhere.

Normally I would be "All hail the radiance of the day-rump!" But I can't help but appreciate the oxymoronic quality of "Order of Discord". It seems highly appropriate that the name of his faction is so utterly inappropriate for who he is.
