Do you think a mother who posted about a rumored school shooting on social media created a public nuisance?

They can't blame her for caring about her child, nor for the children as well, and she can't be blamed for the 160 students that did not attend school that Monday, because those students chose not to go long before all this BS hid the fan (sort of speech), by the time her child had told her what he had heard AT SCHOOL, 100's of others had told their parents, but as you can see out of all the students (more then 160) only the parents of 160 students gave a damn and listen to their children, I know I told my nephew of this that day, not on fb but by text, and he told me "I was told that RPD, is on it all ready" and that was with in minutes of when I saw the post on my "PRIVATE" FaceBook Page, this Mother was not or is not friends on fb with all or ether of the 160 students parents, but because she was the one who needed answers right then and there from her FAMILY AND FRIENDS she gets All the blame, COME ON PEOPLE GET A DAMN GRIP ON THIS. and while your at it, CONTROL YOUR KIDS AS WELL, AND LEARN TO GIVE A DAMN.

This Mom has every right to ask her facebook friends for information and to warn them. And the parents had every right to keep their kid home that day.
The problem is Police don't do anything until it actually happens and by then it's too late for someone.
Yes, she should have also called the Police but what has happened to our freedom of speech? The public nuisance excuse is a loophole they used because they didn't like the kids missing school even though it was to potentially save THEIR LIFE!!
There could have been better choices made, better communication, but she didn't commit any crime and they are manipulating the law and taking away human rights all in one move.
She should fight back on this.

Disgusting. I am sure that the Post on Facebook was much more effective at preventing the shooting than the police department would have been . For instance when 160 kids decide to not go to school, obviously the rumours are everywhere and the would be shooters would no the plan has failed, not to mention those children are safe. Would the police have dont that? Absolutely not. I am sure the Mom had intentions to notifyy the proper authorities. Sad truth is facebook is more accessible and quicker than the police force.
Crazy, fine the concerned mother notifying the parents and students? That is a public nuisance? Sick, sick and more sick. Everything is backwards these days. So its like, hey Mom, its just children, dont be such a nuisance talking about a potential mass murder. I am disgusted.

ppl are often more on Facebook then police to respond. mentioning this on face book problably saved lots of lives. no offense to police but police always does something until evidence is in. in this case she post on facebook and the hole school didn't go.

Can say she saved 160+ lives that day and it is bullying of whomever convicted her and whomever pressed charges. Constitution Freedom of speech covers freedom of press which can also be defined as mass media . Therefore convicting her of anything can also be seen as stepping past the boundaries of Freedom of Speech. A constitutional right this government is founded on

This is a modern equivalent of yelling fire in a theater. If she wanted to ask her friends, she could have called them or sent them a closed message. Of course, she could have also called the cops or the school.
What she did was more like standing up in the middle of a mall food court and shouting, "Hey! Did anyone else hear that a whole bunch of hooligans was planning on coming in here with guns and shooting the place up today?"

How comforting. You can now be charged with asking questions and thinking outloud to your friends before you call the police. Can you please direct me to the closest free country?
