The Senate wants more funding for the Southwest Light Rail, while the House does not. What do you think about this?

Billion dollar surplus two years in a row and they still want more. Recurring habit of increasing our fees to cover future projects later to have them come back with their hand still out. I'm gone. My son is a Jr in high school next year. After he graduates, my wife and I are history. You can tell me to "not the the door hit you on your way out" but at least I'll be able to afford to retire. The cost of living here is top 5 in the country. You can have it.

We voted for licence tab fees to go to road construction. What happened to that money? All this come to our city makes for more traffic.

Chuck, you're right. It's incredible how many times I see similar polls, with the majority of people saying they do NOT want something, yet the laws and decisions that are put in to place directly contradict the poll results. If you want light rail, mass transit options, etc., do NOT move far from the city. I am getting so SICK of paying for/subsidizing services like this that I will most likely never use. I am also sick of Dayton and his cronies pushing decisions like he does. Some of us enjoy getting away from the City life, and making a commute with our own vehicles. I carpool with 2 others in an economy car... guess what, I didn't see a tax break on the car to make my transportation cheaper, so why should I have to pay for others? And why am I now being punished for owning my own vehicle with increased gas taxes, and now talks of increased registration costs - possibly doubling? really?

No mater what the people think, as of now the poll shows 63% says it's a waste of money. The legislators and governor think they are the high and mighty and were voted in to do what they think is the best for the people and not what the people want. Look at Obama Care. The majority of the nation, did not and still do not want it. Yet, they pushed it down our throats. It's time they are all booted out and replaced with ones who do the will of the people! The gas tax is doubled under Dayton and he still wants another increase!
