Jo March shaped my childhood. She was the first heroine in a book I remember wanting to be like. I always admired how she didn't fit in with everyone and didn't mind. She was unapologetically Jo. Her strong beliefs she wouldn't alter, her deep love and regard for her family. She will always be one of my favorite fictional characters.
Elizabeth Bennet is another for me. She too stood by what she believed. She wouldn't marry just to suit her family, she turned down 2 proposals in a time where a woman would be lucky to get 1. She also taught me that sometimes you are wrong, and not as clever as you think, and that is ok. I could go on and on this topic so I'll stop there.
