With the way the cap Era is these days. As well the western conference and the game in general. You need balance to win. Think about it, you reach your cap hit and you are in 29th place. Losing Hall was a blow but without balance and defence, our team was never gonna move forward

When everyone in the league knows what you are after you either pay the asking price and take your purchase or you don't. Loosing Taylor Hall is a blow because of who is was, he was to have been the start of the original rebuild. Most people come to appreciate his effort through the dismal years because he made himself one of the leagues elite wingers. This too make it tough to take. However if you know you have something that doesn't run the way it should, you sometimes have to pay the outrageous fees to fix it. We all know deep down it had to be done. Taylor will be missed and will be cheered on his return, but it looks like the appropriate steps are being taken to make the Oiler machine run more effectively than in the past. With a little adjustments here and there it will once again a force to be reckoned with. Best of luck to Taylor and a big thank you for your hard work and service to our Oiler community.
