Sadly Connecticut has a spend spend mentality. At some point the cost of running the state needs to be looked at with understanding on the cost to keep expanding programs. Many programs are implemented for purely political reasons and offer no overall benefit to the state. We are losing people and businesses and our politicians keep making excuses. We see layoffs increasing in areas unexpected like AAA. The state is one of the five sanctuary states and looking around it is easy to see. Helping people is always good but rather than simply paying for everything why not require some form of work to build up the workforce helping to lower payouts by the state. Why not have a requirement to do some type of work for the city or state in return for the money. We either fix the problems quickly or we will see bigger issues. Once we point to the politician helping to cause the problem they jump ship.

Also govern Roland let banks start charging Atm fees in ct which use to be illegal. Get rid of the state income tax. More money in our pockets, means people will spend more which will help local economy. Get rid either state income tax or get rid of sales tax. That is why more people & companies are leaving the state.
