Did a high school go too far by pulling girls out of class for wearing ripped jeans?

This stupid I could understand if there butts were hanging out but these days when you go shopping for Jean's it's hard to find jeans that don't have these little holes in them it's the style these day's like that's like them pulling them out for having bell bottoms and the thing that pisses me off because it happened to my son at his school he goes to ask academy and they have to wear pants that are very expensive and you can only get them from this certain place which makes it easier for them to charge whatever they want but when he first started there he had to miss a few days till we could get him the right pants and shirt and it ended up effecting his grades I can understand dress code as gar as sagging pants and proactive clothes but having them miss class over stupid stuff makes me wonder what is more important clothes or their educationI think they need to rethink this cause it's not fair cause in the end it is effecting their GPA and it's hard enough for some kids and tovbe targeted for little petty things like small holes that came in these jeans I could understand if she put them their herself and it was being a distraction even if my son wears a dress polo. Shirt with a collar and dress black pants because they don't have the ask academy LOGO on them an are not purchased at a certain store that costs a arm and a leg he can not go to school and if he does then they will write him up and collages have access to that information it can even effect scholarships and make him look like a bad student all over a damn LOGO really...

Why have a dress code if the Principal can make an arbitrary decision on what's considered appropriate. Define what's not allowed in the rules.

What about the boys who wear their pants down to their knees?? Showing their underwear. Ripped jeans are a fashion, as long as it not showing inappropriately then it should be ok.

If ripped or torn jeans are not in the student handbook, where does this principal get off saying those girls are violating the dress code? And why isn't he doing the same for the boys?
