It is a struggle especially sense our school merged and our child don't get home until after 4:00 and has to go to bed at 8:00 to get up at 5:50 to catch a bus that travels to three schools morning and afternoon. We have no family time between cooking, eating, getting baths and getting in bed at a decent hour for the next day...it's a mad house in the afternoon and really stressful on us and the kids!
