Glam or Spam?

This is interesting. The orientation and size of the picture, as well as the absence of a finger in the ring, makes us see the ring as a tacky crown. If you rotate the picture and imagine a finger occulting parts of it, it looks entirely different, takes on a look of 1001-nights rather than cereal-box Cinderella. Glamour is indeed in the imagination of the beholder.

Good point. I wish there were a photo with the ring on someone's hand.
