It is just not a Christian church, it is some other kind of church. The people who believe in the same things will support her.
The media will no doubt criticize the United Church's decision, should they deny her role in the church, accusing the church of being intolerant. But I bet they would agree that you cannot call yourself a Muslim, if you don't believe in Mohammad, and you cannot call yourself a Buddhist if you don't believe in Buddha. Is there is a double standard, one for Christians and another for everyone else?
