Do you think the MHSAA should allow the shootout of the Division 1 boys soccer regional final between Troy Athens and Macomb Dakota be replayed?

Officials make bad calls/mistakes all the time. We don’t “Re-Do” games because of it. We aren’t supposed to question the Referee’s decision. We trust them to officiate the game and accept the results. Otherwise we would have to “Re-Do” every game. There are a lot of High School Soccer players out of the year end contest because of Official’s bad calls/mistakes. That game on Oct 19 was an example of the Officials judgment allowing one team to have advantage and win the contest, but we don’t have a “Re-Do” because of it. I would rather see the MHSAA address the bracket composition. Some teams had very little competition to get to Regionals. Others had very skilled teams to compete against and get knocked out. The last team standing is not always the best. Also, how does one team always get “Home Team” advantage through the contest every year? Any team should not be allowed to play at a home field or host their own games after the first round.

Hey dummies....This isn't a 'missed-call'. This is a referee who made up rules and then made up consequences for said made up rule. It's like calling a player out at HOME and then saying the Pitcher has to leave too because of it. See the difference?

To take away a victory because of a refs error is unheard of...mhsaa should be ready for a ton of calls in every sport..anytime a ref makes a bad call..protest it.challenge it..why not ? Regular season game..every game
.they have to replay it right ???????
To actually go through with this is absurd.
    Period
Refs make bad calls all the time...this ref..stopped the game ..discussed it with
    A.R. for 25 mins..real time...game continued..another 10min discussion
Game ends..1 team wins. Game over
Regardless of the 15 bad or missed calls from ref.

On October the 19th my son's team was in a District game and had a penalty kick denied to his team that would have tied the game. The ref also missed two hand balls in the box. The team that won parents made comments to us that the ref just handed them that game. Explain to my son why his team doesn't get a do over. We were told there was nothing we could do and that refs make bad calls all the time. If the MHSAA is ging to review one game they should review all. This tournament to me is now a joke.

There is no sport that I know of at any level that permits a replay of a game when a referee makes an error. That said, MHSAA needs to consider an overhaul of its system for soccer referees. The quality is substandard compared to any travel soccer league in the state despite the fact that the reimbursement rates are much better

    No! Refs fault not players!
The state needs to do something about the calibur of reffing, I have been watching soccer for 15 years and have seen so many horrible decisions, calls, non calls it is not fair that some games are decided by refs.
