To go back to the Abbots sitting around the table having breakfast is like trying to bring back "Leave it to Beaver" , the Cleaver family doesn't exist anymore. The younger viewers will not identify with Y&R the way it was !!!
Not bringing Adam back is a huge mistake, he is one of the most intriguing characters ever on Y&R. Also, what message are the writers trying to impart to all these young viewers--CRIME PAYS". No one is being held responsible, Victor, Chloe all get off scott free, good lessons to teach !!

Y & R has become such a boring disappointment. Predictable, competitive, and enough already.
We need a new story line with intrigue that keeps you up at night guessing whats going to happen the next day.
If things keep up the way it's been going I will loose interest!. Bring Adam back and add some new drama!!!

OMG!! I agree with all the rest of the comments. Without Adam, the show will not be worth watching! The rest of the Newman's are boring! Even Victor is boring without the Adam storylive. Nick and Victoria are boring Victor's children. Adam was the only Newman that made the show exciting! Like I said, even Vicor is useless without Adam! Their chemistry made the show! And Chadam cannot die! What was the point of leaving fans to think he was still alive. If you're not bringing Adam back, then the writers should have made sure we knew he was dead instead of giving us hope! That is just plain cruel to the longtime viewers which Y&R has so many of. I am hanging on by a thread lately anyway so if Adam is gone for good, SO AM I!!!!!

I've been watching from day one. Adam was a huge part of the show, he made the story very interesting. Nick and Chloe, no ! So tired of the Jack & Phylis story line, then Billy & Victoria. U need to bring Adam back with his family and still give Victor grief, that's what us the fans want, without Adam what's left to keep us all interested in the show, getting as boring as The Bold And Beautiful.....

I think like most of the viewers, I am sure. Without Adam, the show is really dull. I have been recording it ever day and fast forwarding thru most of it. That is what I will continue to do unless it gets a heck of a lot more interesting, and I doubt that it will without Adam and just the boring stuff that has been on there for a very long time.

Have watched Y&R since day 1, but just about ready to tune-out. Not having Adam is like Dallas without JR. And without Adam, who takes over Newman when Victor dies (from old age or contract issues)? The Billy/Victoria and the Phyllis/Jack/Billy situation is just way past boring. Put Sharon in jail or permanently in the looney bin -- she needs to FINALLY pay for her crimes. Nick & Chelsea? NOT a good fit. Chelsea belongs with the love of her life (Adam). Nick will always move from one woman to the next -- he's never satisfied for too long. Abby will take up with Travis -- stealing him away from Victoria, just like she stole Ben. Ashley will rob the cradle and latch onto Ben. WHEW! All in all, Y& R is a MESS! Straighten up the show fast, lest your loyal viewers will go bye-bye and never return!

I'm so tired of Y&R...The last several years are horrible... The reason I kept watching is because of Daniel Goddard who I met and love, story lines take forever, people are losing interest.. Get Adam back, start solving some story lines, if they are good writers, they will continue with other stories.

I can't believe she's doing this! This entire storyline was based on the fact that Adam is Christian's father. What was the point of Nick even finding out about the baby? If this is how the story ends I would have preferred Sharon and Dylan raising the baby and Nick never known. This show just lost a viewer.

This is an absolutely horrible decision if this is true. Fans will be lost over this decision...Adam Newman was more than a wonderful character/actor for Y&R, he was the charisma for the Newman family, the glue in all the storylines and other storylines and actors are very pale in comparison. Michael Muhney needs to come back ASAP to buoy up this show. Many days are just plain boring. Please listen to your fan base and bring Michael back as Adam...we have had a mind boggling election...please give us some hope and happiness in daytime!!
