This survey did not ask if the Prime Minister acts like a dictator in our system. Or if we feel the party supersedes the view of the citizen or MP. It did not ask if we want our MP to have free votes. If feel we have an elected dictatorship! The way we vote, how we vote vote how our government is elected is fine and functional. The party and the Prime ministers power to control the MP is the problem.
It is the responsibility of the citizen to vote. Voters Voters lazy in this country. The voter does respect the obligation to vote!
I do not like the notion that the Senate is unelected, I do not like that there is no balance between East and West and North and South. The Senate should be reformed not the voting system!

Of course it should be an obligation. They have made it in Australia and 97% of people turn out to vote. good job!
