How Do You Feel About Trump’s Decision Not To Pursue Clinton Email Investigation?

  • Tammy - 7 years ago

She's guilty of many many crimes and she needs to be held responsible for her own actions. The Clinton foundation needs shut down.

  • Cindy O'Neill - 7 years ago

While I understand that there is much division in our country, the people are sick and tired of political elite/representatives getting away with crime. Hillary put our country in peril with the email scandal and how do we know who knows what and how that can still affect us in the future. As far as Clinton Foundation goes, selling access and favors as Secretary of State is disgusting.
    PROSECUTE!!

  • Trina - 7 years ago

The nation needs to really understand not just that the private server was wrong, but what she was hiding from the American public...her & Obama completely destabilized Iraq, Syria & the whole Arab world. She ARMED Muslim extremists that TOOK OUT MOMAR ... TORE LIBYA APART... All the schemes kept from the public, and her Machiavelli an motivations known only to her closest circle... That is not only wrong but LOOK AT THE PATH OF DEVASTATION she has left in her wake!! THAT is way more criminal than a private server.
Thx for all you are doing, DML.Happy Thxgiving with your family.

  • Jeff Kettell - 7 years ago

Leave it alone.....over a period of time the Clinton's will fry themselves on their own.

  • Victoria Moody - 7 years ago

I could be wrong, but I feel that he may be trying to cool things off for now. Also, if he presses now, it opens the doors more for Obama to give her a Pardon.. Hopefully he will change his tune once he's actually "in" office.

  • Lisa - 7 years ago

He, as president, cannot press the issue but Congress can and should and probably will. I believe Pres Obama was involved and gave direction to Holder and Lynch on things - especially Lynch and the Hillary email scandal which is why she met with Bill on the plane -- if that could be proven he would be in some serious hot water ... So Pres Elect Trump needs to say and do this and leave the legal dealings to Congress and his new AG and the American people can then demand the AG pursue it ... I would also like to see the IRS investigate the Clinton Family Foundation since they broke many tax laws - one by using their non-profit organization to pay for Chelsea's wedding.

  • Jim - 7 years ago

Ya I'm angry. She has committed so many crimes that it makes me sick. I wll go as far as saying that woman has committed treason. No free passes. Lock her up. No one is above the law. Well if he does not persue a conviction on her then he is telling the country and the world that some people are above the law. That is the wrong message to send when he wants to restore law and order back to our country. Locking her up has nothing to do with hate. The law say if you committed a crime then you are to be tried by a jury of your piers. If convitcted then you are sentenced for that crime. So President-Elect Trump........lock her up.......or at least try to get her convicted.

  • Molly stoner - 7 years ago

I would love nothing more than to see her burn for what she has done but let's face it Obama was already talking a pardon and that is with them saying she did nothing wrong!! I think Trump has bigger and better things to deal with. He has put her in the past as we all should do enough time and stress spent on the Clintons!

  • marcy - 7 years ago

ONCE YOU LIE TO ME...I AM DONE WITH YOU......I CAN'T TRUST ANT LIAR

  • annab - 7 years ago

He has bigger issues to deal with. Hillary is no longer is an issue.....she lost. As long as she doesn't enter the scene as an agitator let the sleeping dog be.

  • sandy horner - 7 years ago

They will get them for the foundation for it is crooked.

  • Melissa - 7 years ago

He needs to keep pressure on her. If she has broken the law then she needs to be held accountable. She is not above the law.

  • Darlene - 7 years ago

The last thing Trump should do is prosecute this woman. It would turn her into a martyr and her face/name would never go away. Let her fade away into obscurity, where she belongs! That's the best punishment of all for a woman who believed she was hours away from being the first female president.

  • Anderson - 7 years ago

If she broke the law, the DOJ needs to do their job. She is not above the law. I do think that Trump should not say anything more about it and just let the DOJ do their thing.

  • Alisha - 7 years ago

Also, someone here commented that it is not his job to put charges against her. Let me ask you this:
If the president is allowed to pardon people at the very end of his term, why is prosecution not allowed?
In this respect our system is very flawed... The president is a part of our checks and balances system. The judicial system is in need of some serious "checking" right now and it is in his job description to do just that. I think sometimes we forget that the Judicial branch is part of our checks and balances. Everyone always focuses on the Executive and Legislative and the Judicial is treated like the ugly step-child or weird uncle, if you will.

  • Lynn Grant - 7 years ago

PE Trump is a smart man. Leave his name out of the investigations while putting the best people in charge of investigating and locking up the whole Soros, Clinton US wing of debauchery! He said nothing about the Foundation.

  • Gretchen Reverman - 7 years ago

He personally should let it go. The justice Dept needs to finish the investigation. Hell yeah!

  • Lena - 7 years ago

I would love to see justice for Benghazi men. And, for the simple fact that there are good people in the military and government that have done far less and have been dealt very harsh penalties. At the same time, I think that justice may have been served by her not being elected. Also, I think her health is not what she leads people to believe and that in itself will be a battle for her. As for the foundation, I want to believe that it will flounder of not totally disappear. Judicial Watch may handle the Clintons, which I'm ok with since Trump and team will be too busy fixing our country to be bothered with another Clinton scandal.

  • Gary Madison - 7 years ago

really think if he let's her off it will be a slap in the face of all that voted for him! she can sit back and say see I told you I can't be touched? why would he do that?

  • Lena - 7 years ago

  • Debi StPuerre - 7 years ago

He totally let the families of Benghazi down. They put trust in him. Love him but not agreeing ....

  • Lynn - 7 years ago

I'm going to assume and hope this is nothing more than just words, given the fact that it's out there that OBAMA will pardon Clinton if any charges are filed against her I absolutely believe she needs to be held accountable for any laws she has broken as a Government Official this Country is supposed to be equal in justice and she should not be allowed to just walk away.

  • Mishi - 7 years ago

I feel that if he goes through with that it will only foster more lawlessness in this country because that screams I can do anything I want.

  • Ginger - 7 years ago

I personally think that there is more to this announcement. I think he is playing nice. I also think that doesn't mean the investigation is over. What has the FBI said about the clinton foundation investigation? With all the lies he has been told by Obama about making this a smooth transition, I think he is biding his time. And who knows maybe Hillary is actually really sick which I have always thought she is extremely sick. Which by the way was also a concern for me and her being physically fit for the position. I think that whole thing was dropped too soon and I believe we were told lies about all that as well.

  • Daniel - 7 years ago

I feel she should be held accountable. Why should she not be? There are other political figures currently being charged or serving time in prison for far less.
One simple reason would be to remove the tarnish from the FBI and Justice Dept. That her actions have caused. I truly believe the only reason why she wasn't is because it would implicate Obama and others in Washington.
I nor you are above the law and neither should she be.
I would suggest Mr Trump let his appointees handle this, he will be busy enough with other pressing issues. Wiki leaks provided all the evidence, all the general public was provided a glimpse of all her illegal activities. To brush them under the rug now is an injustice to us all.
Thank you for allowing my input.

  • Carol - 7 years ago

If I understand Trump backed off so that the right agencies can take over and do this job. If I understand it is not the job of the president to be able to do this.

  • Lorrie Keister - 7 years ago

I would like to see Hillary Clinton held responsible for her crimes. I would like an assurance that she can never hold any office ever again. I would like to see the law work for her the same way it works for the common folks. I really dislike the hypocrisy in the legal system. If he is going to hold the illegal immigrants to the letter of the law and plans to deport criminals, then he should also hold Hillary to the letter of the law. With that being said I will stand by what ever decision he makes because I pray that God gives him the wisdom he needs to run this nation.

  • Marsha - 7 years ago

I voted for Donald Trump and even donated money quite a few times. I still think and hope he will do his very best to do the things he said he would to Make America Great Again but I am very disappointed and upset that he is not going after Hillary. She and the Clinton Foundation have done so many terrible things. She and the Clinton Foundation should not go unpunished! I am really wondering what made him change his mind about this. I think he should explain his reasons to all his supporters. I know he has a lot to take care of to Make America Great Again but going after Hillary should also be one of the things he does too.

  • Maureen Gorman - 7 years ago

He has made a wise decision. He is a President for the people. The public jury on Hillary is 50%-50%. To go after her would cause great unrest in the country. Now is such a delicate time, he needs to bring peace.

  • Kelly - 7 years ago

I can only hope that the attorney general or another subcommittee will prosecute her

  • Dawn - 7 years ago

I have mixed feelings about this, there are so many important issue he needs to focus on. I do feel however that she should be held accountable for her lies and carelessness, and the foundation needs to be looked at for sure. Maybe it's not Our President-elect, but someone even sure.

  • Mark Linker - 7 years ago

Not happy but considering all the anti-Trump protests (riots) going on probablly the best thing to do to apeace the cry babies. And get this country rolling again in the right direction. Hillary should consider herself damn lucky. She should thank Trump!

  • Robert - 7 years ago

I'm upset but more puzzled as to his change of heart. He won't go after her, but that doesn't mean someone else won't. I'm hoping he concentrates on improvements in our government and let someone else handle her foundation.

  • Ruth Swallow - 7 years ago

NOT HAPPY - he made a promise and it's one of the main reasons we voted for him. This monster should NOT be let off scott free she needs to pay for the multiple crimes she and her family have committed - if it were you or I we would have been locked up long ago. LOCK HER UP.

  • Betty Haskins - 7 years ago

I feel that President Elect Trump should make sure he follows through on all his campaign promises that he is capable of fulfilling. Some of those promises might not come true, but I'm sure he will at least try. This promise is one that he can follow through on, whether it results in a conviction or not, at least he should try.
I'm not saying HE needs to do all the work and be personally responsible for whatever the outcome, but he is surrounding himself with very competent people and prosecuting her and her cohorts is their job, he should allow and encourage them to do their job. To not follow through is a slap in the face for the families of the 4 people who lost their lives in Benghazi. All the corrupt money deals with the foreign countries, some of which are terrorists, that we are fighting and loosing more men/women to. The very fact that Hillary handled our confidential files as if they were invitations to a party, is itself a crime. Why prosecute a young man for doing far less than she did, if we are not going to hold her to the same standards. This action is sending the wrong statement to a lot of people, I for one. I'm not going to boycott or protest Trump, because I feel he will do a very good job on the rest of his promises, but this is a very big deal to some people. I pray he will just allow Obama and Clinton and the rest think he's done with the whole mess and then after he takes office, allow the proper people to do their job. He wouldn't have to tell them NO, he could just allow it to happen. They are not him...if that makes sense....Keep up the good work and I hope your dreams all come true...Thank You for caring....

  • jane - 7 years ago

I think she will implode as well as the clinton foundation - and speaking of that - all the ppl or what ever that payed to play - I think they will be after the foundation - she is invisible to me now and before the election - to bring her up is to make her relevant - she is no longer relevant - and that IIS what is important

  • Karen - 7 years ago

I would much rather see our borders safe immediately so the wall built on both borders, illegal aliens gone, inner cities fixed, top notch education FOR ALL, jobs brought back to America, social security fixed, deficit reduced and on and on. When America is fixed then go after Clinton. Not before. God bless to all and may you all have a bessed Thanksgiving.

  • SEJMON - 7 years ago

ONE WAY OR OTHER SHE WILL END UP IN JAIL....Congress,DOJ,FBI IS WAY TO GO. LET THEY HANDLE IT AND THEY WILL.

  • Arnold Layne - 7 years ago

Trump is turning out to be just like every other politician. What campaign promises is he going to keep, any? He said he would deport the illegals, now just the criminals and we will see about the rest later. He was going to build a wall, now might be a fence in areas that need it. He said he wouldn't settle his lawsuit and fight to the end because he did nothing wrong, now settled for $25 million. He said he would repeal Obozo care. Now keeping some things in it. He said he would appoint a special investigator/prosecutor to look into Crooked Hillary. Now, he doesn't want to hurt them. Watch, he told everybody a while back "everything is negotiable". I knew right there that he wasn't going to do what he promised. Donald is a Progressive Libtard, has been his whole life. He only ran as a Republican because he knew the fix was in for Cankles over at the DNC and he never stood a chance there.

  • Debbie - 7 years ago

I say Trump has enough to focus on to get this country moving in the right direction. I don't want his potential effectiveness impacted by the Clintons. It may even be an attempt to keep Obama from issuing a pardon of her and I'd love to see her prosecuted but let those efforts happen without Trump championing it. Trey Gowdy and Jason Chaffetz are strong and won't let it rest without getting answers. Let it be taken care of thru the Oversight Committee, not Trump. Just my opinion.

  • Richard Shawkey - 7 years ago

Hillary Clinton has conducted business on the thin line separating legal and illegal for most of her adult life; i.e., Whitewater, cattle futures, Travelgate. She has skirted the law all these years. In regards to the e-mail scandal, she definitely crossed the line and should be held accountable. She also should be held accountable for lying to congress and contempt of congress. Finally, the investigation into her conduct vis a vis the Clinton Foundation should go forward.

  • Katie - 7 years ago

I think that is a very smart move. He can always go after her when Obama is out of the White House and can't pardon her anymore. There are so many skeletons in her closet that could put Hillary and Bill away for life and time to do it.

  • Mary Long - 7 years ago

I believe the moment has passed. The President elect has alot on his plate more important that her nonsense. He will have to deal with the problems her dishonesty has caused all of us. I would rather he concentrate on the task at hand. Karma will take care or Hillary.

  • CAROL SCHNABEL - 7 years ago

He doesn't need to do anything right away. There are many other things that needs addressed first. But I would like to see him pursue this at a later time. She's not done yet!! They are priming Chelsea for politics so we still need to do something! She won't go down without a fight.

  • Martina Rogers - 7 years ago

Thanks to Obama and Comey, if Trump goes after her it will just make him look bad. Her day will come and I hope I'm still alive to see it. Right now it's time to move on. She no longer has any real power and the kind of people she deals with and the ones that donated to her 'charity' don't care much for women anyway.

  • Marla - 7 years ago

Every action has a consequence. To not pursue the Clinton email investigation, clearly shows that Washington DC is setting the precedent regarding crime in the political arena...that is OK. THIS is not OK! Not in my America! I am hoping that DJT has something else up his sleeve to get her behind bars!

  • Jim - 7 years ago

Just dont let the Clinton foundation go

  • Carol Sabo - 7 years ago

I believe in justice but it comes in many different forms. Trump is a Christian and he needs to unify the country not divide it. I am a Christian too but justice can come the DOJ, the CIA, from Karma and ultimately, from GOD. I believe she will pay dearly for all her sins, so will Bill, and all those who participated. The Devil was at work there.
We must try to forgive sinners like her. We don't have to like it but it's the right thing to do.
I voted that I was upset. Hence my comment.

  • Rita Harmon - 7 years ago

I hope the FBI continue the investagation, This will not be right for her not to be up for Treason.
I know Trump is going to have his hands full to keep all promises to America.

  • Louis OHaver - 7 years ago

I will be hugely disappointed if he starts re-nigging on those campaign promises he made and reason I voted for him. What about all those Hillary for Prison shirts? Now if he wants to back off and give it to the legal system, fine. I dint think its his chiice to dexide who gets prosecuted or not. Didnt we have that opinion of Obama and DOJ/FBI. Here alleged Criminal acts need to be investigated ALL of THEM. Let the courts decide if he wants to back off. I will be good with that or Trump will loose my support. On the other hand if she is NOT pursued, let all the other people who exposed Classified info out of prison.

  • Sherry Morgan - 7 years ago

I believe that Trump will let his new administration team he will put in FBI and DOJ take the reigns and they will follow the law that is already there and will hold her accountable for her crimes. Unlike the present administration it will be their job to uphold our laws for all no exceptions. Trump is very smart and will still see her prosecuted as it should be done with honest people following the rule of law he will not publicly be doing it but rest assured he knows it will happen just another way of getting the job done but without political interference in play so the opposition can't use that as a way to get her off. Have a little faith in him and just let things play out to the right result we all want he hasn't forgotten his promise he is just being smarter than the opposition. He needs to concentrate on the real issues at hand that need addressed in the first 100 days in office and that is a job that will need tremendous dedication and concentration to accomplish.

  • Lori Davis - 7 years ago

I feel that our country needs attention and fast. I agree that if the FBI and outside agencies still want to investigate and if they find significant laws broken then he will have to let his attorney general that he chooses handle it. Clinton wanted to be president and the fact that she lost it yet again is probably worse than putting her in jail. It also appears since she doesn't have any ties to influence government anymore the foundation has been not getting as much contributions. I think he needs to do what he's doing fix what is broken and put safety nets in place with new laws so no one ever can pull this pay for play scheme again. Rules of through the chain of command and classified information is something that needs to be fixed as well. Unless they find someway back in government like with Chelsea they can't hurt the US anymore but if they try to push their tactics and illegal activities through Chelsea then no question in my mind they need to be stopped. Just because Trump is taking that he won't personally go after her Congress is still investigating so it maybe out of his hands anyway!

  • Denise Shadle - 7 years ago

He "wants to help her heal".....can you imagine how completely pissed she is hearing that from the leader of the irredeemable Deplorables? Besides, she took mucho money from very un-nice people and now they get nothing for the money. Wait till they come knock, knock, knocking at her door! Cosmic Justice!

  • Michelle - 7 years ago

I like that Trump is staying clear of her mess. He has other, more important, things to do. I hope the FBI indicts her, though, for her crimes involving the Clinton Foundation and her role as Sec. of State. I will be upset if they drop the ball again. She should be in jail.

  • Jill cheline - 7 years ago

It showed poll majority agreeing with trump then switched to opposite.

  • honey holiday - 7 years ago

He said it. I believed him. It will be done. The art of the deal, folks. Hold on!

  • deb - 7 years ago

I voted to leave her be, for one there are many important things to take care of first.
But, she is still under investigation for their foundation and hopefully it will be just enough to get both of them. They are equally at fault of wrong doing.
I think if he pushed forward right now....Obama will pardon her and then blame it all on Trump for persuing it. Then it would just be more division.

  • Marsha Morehouse - 7 years ago

I really would like to see the Clintons', all of them, held accountable. However, I believe that Trump would waste valuable time and resources pursuing the end result that we all would like to see, Hillary in Jail. The president is not part of the Justice Department, he is part of the Executive Branch and as such should not try to control the Judicial Branch. If he did, he would be no better than Obama.

Does anybody really think that a Clinton would really be convicted and go to prison?

  • Sheila Cross - 7 years ago

    Jesus is our Judge!
She's still going to answer for her crimes!

  • Robyn - 7 years ago

This was hard to answer... I'm in the middle. I don't think it's ok to allow ANYONE to abuse the law or get away with a crime especially those in power. At the same time I'd rather see him focus on other issues the first 100 days in office :-/

  • Tricia - 7 years ago

I said I'm ok with it but only because I'm holding out hope she will get slammed from the Clinton foundation and because I believe there are more important issues to handle right now.

  • Carrie Collins - 7 years ago

Pres elect will be the executive branch. That is the enforcer of the laws by the legislative and judicial branch. This is not a decision he can make. The Judicial branch does. Besides why say he would now anyway. Obama would just pardon her. Think about it. Keeping it quiet keeps a pardon from happening. This is not his decision period. It will be up to FBI then DOJ.

  • Linda - 7 years ago

I would have liked him to fulfill his campaign promise, as I want to see her prosecuted. People have done far less and are paying the price for it. She should be held accountable. To play devil's advocate here.............if it means he has to devote a person to do this instead of possibly keeping an eye on ISIS or something similar, the best use of his time and resources is looking after the American people. This also might let those liberals relax a little and let him do his job.

  • Louis Decker - 7 years ago

He can forget the emails, but he better continue the Clinton foundation.

  • Kenneth Dumas - 7 years ago

We must stop ignoring the law, certainly she violated the law, her oath of office and the constitution. Obama has caused lawlessness throughout the land, if we overlook Clinton's crimes we are no different.

  • Mary - 7 years ago

I think it is wrong, he campaigned on it, had thousands saying "lock her up". Good people are doing time for far less, they should be pardoned. And to lump the Foundation crimes in with this lie he told is disgraceful. Healing comes with justice...FAIR FOR ALL. I am disappointed to say the least. That means Lynch got off, Comey got off the IRS got off for overlooking her 501C3, that should be pulled and many others. It is an abomination and he should be ashamed. First step to being the same old same old, he's proved he's a lying politician like all the rest..

  • Cindy - 7 years ago

He made the right choice. If he is going to win the hearts and minds of all people...this is a good start. It doesn't make her any less guilty but I believe that Hillary will forever remember the day she lost to Donald Trump. This loss is most likely worse than a prison cell for her.

  • Denise - 7 years ago

I think Hillary will be misserable the rest of her life because she knows she ruined her chance to achieve her life long goal.because of the illegal things she has done. I think that is punishment enough. Trump has a heart and im sure he realizes this too.

  • Brenda Johnson - 7 years ago

Will he keep his word on other things?
Liberals need to know, they don't believe in Wikileaks. Assage handed Trump his win (kind of) and what about those children? They'll never be saved.
I feel by proving true it will help liberals to come around.
Last point if this goes away, will we be dealing with Chelsea running for POTUS in the future?
He needs to keep his word. He needs to hand this to someone to continue, yes he has work to do, but keep someone on this.

  • Lisa - 7 years ago

I think it is a good decision, for now...The private server was wrong. What disturbs me most is the WikiLeaks and what the emails said, very bad corruption in them! The Clinton Foundation is still under investigation and that is a good thing. I do believe that she should still be held accountable for the private server and the dumping of the emails, the lies, and corruption!

  • Sandra Nekson - 7 years ago

Our government when running properly would take care of Hillary or any other person who does criminal activity. The president should focus on running the country and trust the people he puts in place to take care of these matters. The country would take it as a personal vindetta if Trump gets involved. Let us have peace while he makes this country great again.

  • Dag Pettigrew - 7 years ago

He made a promise to the American people that no one is above the law. He said he would hire a prosecuter to investigate Clintons. Is this the first broken campaign promise or only the start. I took Mr.Trump at his word and that is why I voted for him.

  • Jacquii - 7 years ago

There is no doubt in my mind that Hillary will be held accountable at some point. I'm sure there is a LOT more damaging evidence that will come out. The Clinton Foundation will fall and she will fall with it. Trump first has to focus on his 100 day plan. The safety of this country, immigration and bringing back jobs are much more important right now. She will go down….I'm not worried about that at all.

  • Shirley Shafer - 7 years ago

Trump is a smart man. I can only hope that he has a very good reason for his decision. He is surrounded by a lot of very smart people on his team. I'm sure that they had imput on this decision. If she gets off scott free , what will stop her from continuing her illegal nastiness. I do not feel like she should be able to go on with her life like nothing has happened.

  • Kristen - 7 years ago

Still holding out for the Clinton Foundation investigation to take her down. Even though I believe she is guilty I think going the email route would only serve to upset liberal voters and liberal swamp people. It will be easier for Trump to get things done for the American people if he does not pursue it. But again, still hoping that the pay to play will take her down. Trump has more important things to worry about now than Hillary.

  • Kathleen Hughes - 7 years ago

I agree at least investigations should continue into Clinton foundation. Clintons need to be accountable for what appears to be criminal activities.

  • Betsy Thomas - 7 years ago

I'm not upset at his decision, although it was one of his statements during the campaign. He should keep his word to the American people. I'm hoping he will rid the government of the people implicated in helping to cover her wrong doing and not prohibit others, like Judicial Watch or Howdy for pursuing justice with the email scandal as well as the pay to play and the foundation. I know as a President, he shouldn't go after any one individual, but he can support those who do want to see her pay for her crimes.
I'm glad that he wants to unite the nation and see her heal, but everyone pays the consequences of our actions, even if we repent, their is still a price to be paid.
We shall see. He is a smart man and I know he is not going to show all of his cards.
    Time will tell.

  • Lydia - 7 years ago

I think it's what he had to do for now. Lets see how things go after he is in white house. I think we will see things come together, maybe not by him personally, but by others!

  • Carolyn - 7 years ago

I think for now Trump made the right move. It does not at all mean she won't be brought to justice. No need to waste time and money on a "special prosecutor" if the DOH and FBI will finally be allowed to do their job.

  • Kristi - 7 years ago

The FBI needs to concentrate on the Clinton Foundation. That is definitely more criminal.

  • Linda - 7 years ago

She committed too many crimes and should not get away with it. I also think it would help shut down these people crying about her and thinking she is wonderful when she is not. Mainstream media made her look like she was perfect !!!

  • susan allison - 7 years ago

Let the FBI continue with investigations involving the Clinton foundation. I would like to see a pardon for Wikileaks and Snowden.

  • Jennifer Hollahan - 7 years ago

I think for the good of the country right now, Trump made the right move. I hope, however, this can still be addressed at a later date. Would love to see Hillary get nailed.

  • Sue - 7 years ago

Hillary would enjoy prison. (wink wink)
