    After 30+ years using Kodachrome, I always try to get it right 'in camera', so any processing is usually for colour fringes (that were never a problem before digital), and sometimes contrast or colour balance. If the image needs a lot of processing, possibly the photographer needs to learn more about how to use the camera.
