Y&R needs to SHAPE UP! Everybody's been RAVING about how GREAT Sally Sussman is, but as a long-time Y&R watcher, I am NOT liking the direction(s) Sussman is already taking. If Victor' or Nikki or Jack's characters were replaced by LESSER actors, Y& R would surely die a quick death. At least it APPEARS like Adam is going to be re-cast. I have no idea what Sussman has planned, but........
And if Y&R goes back to the half-hour format, you might as well forget it. The STUPID commercials won't leave but about 10 minutes of show time. Why waste your time for nothing more than a "daily taste!"

I think based upon their ratings as well as Y&R leading CBS Daytime tv as #1 for 28 years, they will keep it's 1 hour format. If anything financially would force CBS to make any changes, they would cut salaries and some of the most expensive actors on the show. Victor, Nikki, Jack, Billy for example, are the most expensive roles due to their portrayed. They could either write them out or replace them with less expensive actors. We will have to wait and see.
I am still pulling for a SOAP OPERA NETWORK to show us the OLD SOAPS. Like AMC, Loving, The City, Port Charles, The Edge of NIGHT, Search For Tomorrow etc. I would LOVE IT!! Anyone else interested?? OPRAH PLEASE!! THIS COULD WORK ON SO MANY LEVELS!!

I really hope they dont cut it dwn to a 30 min show like come on leave it the way it is

What is going on with this show? They're killing off key actors and all the good storylines have seemingly been muffled and now it's just boring filler AND NOW you're threatening a half hour program. Come on people...Wake up and get going here again...also, it seems this new writer thinks she's the smartest person going...maybe there should be a senior writer over her to beat down her dumb theories of how this show should flow...
