    too many teams think that they first round draft picks should immediately start with the parent club without having to spend any time growing and developing in the minor leagues. why? the players have never played professional hockey, (only junior) and, unless they are special - gifted and mature - they have a lot to learn. so, let them take the time necessary to learn and develop. virtanen should spend as much time with utica as necessary to learn how to become an experienced professional. perhaps he can be called up to the canucks for short periods of time, but, he should not be given a spot on the canucks until he is really ready.
