it doesn't need saying again that the canucks have screwed up their excellent goaltending situation since 2011. a few years ago, when it came down to luongo vs schneider, i think that it was schneider who should have be kept, and not luongo, in my opinion. subsequently, when it came down to keeping either eddie lack or markstrom, i think that they should have traded markstrom instead of lack. furthermore, i think that it was not wise to have signed miller for so much and so long - was benning just being generous to a friend, or was that really what it took to get miller to come here? if i recall, there was not much, if any, other interest for miller at the time. i hope that they do not rush demko (they didn't rush schneider, although likely tempted to), and he turned out very well, having had the proper time to develop in the AHL with a few call-ups to the canucks over a few seasons. if demko needs to stay in the AHL next year, then he should, regardless of the canucks' immediate need. i remember that schneider did not make the jump quickly or easily, but when he finally did, he was very successful, and quickly pushed luongo to equal, or second, place. the canucks should be careful with how they handle demko, or else they will damage / ruin him. as for right now, if the canucks are really serious about fixing their goaltending situation, they should play markstrom as much as possible, so that they can know whether he can really carry the starter's load, and/or what to do with him at the end of the season, and also whether to re-sign ryan miller if markstom is not really able to be a number 1.

Markstrom is more fan media hype and has done nothing to earn the #1 spot. This poll proves Canucks fans are degenerates who know nothing about hockey. They demanded to trade Luongo and they will do the same with Ryan Miller.
