When people uses his/her Power and Authority it's much easier to influence others. Free country, more like, A FREE WORLD , We all have our own opinions, our beliefs and observations. We should all respect that.

I wonder if that is an awards show or a political forum. With a captured audience it really does not matter. I am really sick of all of these "entertainers" using their fame to try to influence others about what they think. They should be mindful of where they became so famous, so rich and how they did it. So if they do not like our president and do not support our president--they need to remember they are influencing others to be un-American, cause much trouble for our new president, and making the U.S. look like a bunch of fools (and weak) to other countries. He won. I did not vote for him; but he won.I am waiting to see what he does and maybe he will surprise a lot of people...if they will just wait and SHUT UP. Maybe these entertainers can make a movie out of this and get another award and more money and then make speeches about the poor, downtrodden and how to tear down a country. I am sure they have read somewhere about the poor, or been in a movie about it. Meanwhile, I am waiting for all of those entertainers who said they would leave the country if President Trump was elected...to leave the good ol' USA. Anyone seen them packing? That will not happen. The US has made them rich and given them a forum so they can say anything they want to on awards shows.

She played Margaret Thacther and had no qualms about acting Ms. Thatcher's end of life dementia. I am sure Ms Thatcher would have wanted her dementia to remain private. Was she mimicking her?

I disagree this Woman is paid to act on tv and she doesn’t even do that very well. No one cares what her opinion of Trump is. If this so sickens her then why not do something about it. We all hear how Trump is racist and all this but no one can point out an event or time where he was racist. Where were all of you democrats when Trump was donating money to Hillary and Bill Clinton, why was he not racist then? I guess electing Obama because he is black is not racist, right? Fact of the matter is the Democrats pull this every election Every single person that has ran on the republican side in the last 30 years has been called racist by the Democrats. Republicans are against gays, against blacks, Muslims they only care about the rich. This is what you all claim but under Obama his first 2 years he had a majority in both the house and senate. Yet guess what he did nothing for gay marriage, guess what he didn’t raise minimum wage, guess what the inner cities are still poor. In the last 8 years, racial issues are up, we are in a ton of debt and there are people struggling to survive. We need a change maybe that’s Trump maybe it’s not but it certainly wasn’t Obama. I mean you democrats are talking about impeachment before he takes office, there are groups who are threatening assignations. Maybe if you all are worried about all these problems then you should spend money and fix them. All these big actors and singers so worried about the country while they sit in their mansions. People like Michael Moore who pays people to go protest but you don’t see his ugly ass out there in the protest do you? I have never see a stupider group of people in my life, the democrat party is a discrace to humanity, what Americans wish the President to fail?

I am wealth, educated, self made and for the most part quiet. There are many people like me but eventually we will get tired of listened to the BS of all you ignorant people that don't understand how things work in the real world with "real common sense"!

The Golden Globes are looking like a circus, year after year. All I can say about Hollywood celeb Libs is that now they are whining more than ever when their political party is not in power. At the same time she made fun in her speech of football and MMA fans. Stick to your movie lines.. Lol

I agree with Meryl. Our leaders should be an example of grace, empathy and understanding. Some people have no respect for any one they consider beneath them. Blatant disrespect for women, immigrants, disabled and anyone who does not agree makes me frightened of the direction our nation is taking.
