I feel that if cats are allowed outdoors, they should be confined into a cat proof fencing or 'catio' and remain on their owner's property. NOT roam free throughout the community. They should also all be microchipped and treated and licensed in the same manner as dogs.

Cats are killed routinely by cars. And if one thinks, "Not my cat!"- well, wishful thinking, my friend. This line of thought will haunt you as your bring your cat to the emergency vet due to a car hit.

Cats should be indoors, they live longer, they don't get fleas, they don't get exposed to rabies or other diseases, they're safe (no dogs or cars to worry about) and they're really happy
