Which classic convertible is the best buy?

To all those who will read this, an affirmation here: the Pontiac is just plain ugly: it was in the '70's and still is today. And quite honestly, it is a terrible drive with a suspension that will leave you cold. It has no soul.

Why not a 1972 Ford LTD convertible (plush, nicer interior, a smooth ride, silky cast iron V8), or a 71 mustang (if not rusted out)?

The boulevardier in this list is the Caddy. It gets by on style alone. I can only imagine driving around town
with 5 of my friends with me on a sunny night...casually cruising at 40 km an hour.

The MGB is a must on any list and deserves to be there. They got that right. But driving one is more about novelty than actually enjoying the ride! Sorry, but current cars are better, and looking back, apart from its cuteness, not much to recommend this un-refined, low power cramped car.

Just one discerning opinion. Did not mean to offend anyone.
